Ditto - you HAVE to let them dry out before jarring them up. Humidity in the jar should be around 50% for safe storage.
Check out Amazon for a Caliber III Hygrometer, about $17. Let your crop dry out, then put them in the jar with the Caliber III. Keep opening the jar a couple hours a day until the humidity gets to around 50%. DON'T keep them in the jar if it shoots up past 75%, if they do they need more drying before jarring.
