is it bad to top...

...during followering. i toped my plant during in its 3rd week 12/12 before any sighn of sex, an it grew its branches at the node were i toped but there not stretching up. should i give it more time or is it jus going to keep growing pistals an not stretch.
sorry for the newb Q??, but ive never made it this far in growing. thanks for the replys.

my guess is that it will keep growing pistils and not stretch, you cut it at just about the end of the stretching.
