Which one gives better results?
I had some sunflower plants in 3 gal pots and some in the dirt and the ones in the pot dried out a lot and eventually died but the ones in the dirt are taller than me now and they look great. The trinity kush looks healthier as well imo.

Next season I'm not sure if I should just plant seed in the dirt instead of using pot but why do people grow in pots in the first place?

Sometimes people don't have the option to go in the dirt ....patio grows and indoor obviously......you can get great results either way I personally like going in the ground for very large plants ...this year I'm helping a friend who had to do pots we put girls in seven gallon smart pots and there massive ...pots you can move around if need be also.....but if you have ample ground and plenty of space Imo I'd choose the ground every time .....not to say you can't grow great medicine in pots because you definately can......

I believe you get much bigger in the ground, but you can't control quality as well. Either way its all good . but once they're in the ground, they don't move

@Indacouch Mine are in ten gallon pots and they don't seem massive but they started growing around 4/20 and unless they get bigger Now that they're flowering but I don't see it happening.

@ Larry the soil is soft I dug out a shovels length all over and Callin my ground is long like 4 x 20 no rocks the sunflowers seemed to do so well and I didn't dig out the soil just s thumbs worth and hardly watered and they still thrived also the Trinity seems to be doing well
