I can easily start right now but my set up would be ghetto as fuck as I still need to get some more stuff, but i NEED to take clones off my mother plant thats outdoor cuz the bitch is gettin too fat hahahaha

So right now, I got the lights, DWC set up (18 gal, which im actually startin to think is a bit too small :\

got this humidity dome, cloning jell.

I got panda mylar

but I just dont have the grow frame besides wall which I still need to tear down some shelves to PROPERLY have the mylar in place, but change of plans occured and I want the grow in a seperate room because fans make noise, and im sure when I sleep it will get annoying.

help me out guys hahaa once again: Is it ABSOLUTELY necessary to use a exhaust/intake fan at the start of a grow? or will an auscilating fan and open window suffice for 1 month-a month n a half.?

If you can keep your temps in heck then yeah, you shuld be fine.

However i have to say, before growing i bought everything i might need and read everything i might need to know for that first basic grow, as such i encountered few to no problems other than those caused out of being cheap (non-digital PH meters GAH!) when i read around the forums a lot of the issues i come across are as a result of not being completely ready to grow and jumping the gun and trying to buy things as issues start to crop up. That's just a rule of thumb i like to follow, but hey, no fans in nature so if temps are in check then well, the temps are in check :)

Yeah but for me I did a lot of planning lights, pump, reflect for walls, etc. Than next thing you know when I try to start... i bumped into the problem of not knowing that lights require ballast.. and something about a socket? i have a built in one so it was easy on me.

Than for pump.. holy fucking shit! that was wierd! my pump came with all these connectors when I never even had to use any of them.. just hadda connect a metal rod to it with some water distributor on top with lines and tips.

than for the reflection I always knew mylar FTW but than I go to shop and they dont have it, they just have this panda mylar, and this other mylar,

Its just the small shit no one really helped out with, I go to the forums and see people who asked the same questions I did and they had tons of ppl who answered RIGHT AWAY. lol but when I asked I had 0-1

PH METER: What kind do you have? I always intended on getting digital.. but I see so many god awful reviews on all kinds for different problems, I want one around 80 dollars but Idk what brand or what small things THOSE need! (calibrations)

So for me before I even knew about growing tree I always intended on growing vegetables and so I look it up and find out everything than I started getting into crop cycles for the soil and THAT just finished it for me all that research burned me out and I said "man fuck that shit"

Depends on what kinda light you are using. With CFLs you should be fine with opening a door or window. But by opening a window you are letting light be shown from outside, letting bugs inside to the grow space. Asking for problems IMO.
Intake/Exhaust doesn't have to be expensive. Just be creative with it.
You should read around on here quite a bit more and have a plan for when they get bigger..
Look in the DIY Section of the forum..

Whats your intake/exhaust set up looking like? and yeah at grow shops each fan system is 190 dollars-220 for a 6 in.

However I see need to learn how to muffle out the sound.. and thanks I will def take a look m8

For intake I cut a hole in the floor of the room outside the grow cab.
I have a 6 inch duct that runs thru the hole and is drawing air from underneath the home.
My fan pulls the cooler air from below and into the cab.
I bought an inline exhaust fan 435 CFM 6 inch from eBay for under $100 and I made my own carbon filter for like $35-40.
I prob have $150 in mine but I also wanted a bigger fan in case I ever wanted to upgrade to a little bigger space.
Check eBay for cheaper stuff. They have fan/filter combos for cheaper than the prices you stated for just the fan.
Thats where I got my nutes, light and other stuff.

Where is the fan location that you need to muffle it? they do sell fan mufflers but the are like 80 bucks. I guess I don't care about the fan noise, just sounds like I left a fart fan on in the bathroom.

I don't have a fan muffler on mine. It quietens down a bit once the duct is hooked up to it.
I did buy a speed control for it for $25 tho
I went with a Valuline fan and am pleased with it

I saw on this retail catalog a fan that cost 269$ and its circulur inward shapes and its a 6in 435CFM but its supposed to be hella quiet cuz the way its designed.
I didnt even know fans come with mufflers until I randomly heard about it one time.. And yeah I heard about making a carbon filter, how did you make yours though?

Check eBay and type in 6 in inline fan and a big list will pop up and you can scroll thru there and find what you like.
I chose the Valuline because I watched comparisons on YouTube and it seemed to be the best for the money outdoing the Vortex
You will have to check out my journal for step by step on the carbon filter on page 15 in my journal..

Following the same route as Bluberry I Got a 6" Inline 700CFM farn on eBay for like $89... haven't gotten it in the closet yet but I have turned it on and it seems normal on the noise level and moves a hell of a lot of air!

my advice to you its to always start slow dont rush shit. you will regret it.

Glad I could help ya out!
I would also look on eBay and look for a speed controller for $25. Plugs into the wall and fan plugs into the speed controller. And adjust the fan speed.
The fan will be quieter once the duct is hooked up.
