To the OP,
I think the mistakes you made are good even if they fuck with your current plants overall output.
The lessons we learn in our first few grows are the most important.
( if you don't ignore the input you get from gardening and RIU )
Keep a journal of everything so you can see the good and bad trends.
Good rule of thumb is don't over react, make small adjustments to negative changes.
Defoliating....
I did it to my 1st bunch of plants, I got yelled at by the whole of RIU.
but I learned and moved on, now I know that tearing off leaves is bad.
Tuck them or tie them, but recognize they are essential.
I'm at the end of my first year and I still have lots to learn.
If growing is keeping you from sleeping I suggest you "get a grip".
You are not growing the Food you Need you are growing the weed you Want.
