As long as its still producing white ones you should be fine. Its only 4 weeks in flower. Still should have another 4 to go MINIMUM. Old pistols begin to dry up after a week or so if they arent pollinated by a male and make way for new ones to develop. All is well! :)

Do you have a fan right on it? I have noticed that if i have a fan blowing to close when in bud the tips of the pistils dry out then it dies off. Not a big fan of it either so i try to keep my fans on my plants as light as possible. May want to inspect for nut sacs closely since if they get pollinated they obviously die off.

I'm having the same problem and from my research, I can say that if all pistils on a bud turn orange early, that bud has stalled it's growth. Try and fix the problem to get them growing again. It is normal to have some turn darker and more grow over it but when they all turn brown and are breaking off when you touch them, there is a problem.

Pistils turning color early are possible sings of early pollination or in the process of going hermie. I've had two strains brown early and eventually ended up full hermie

you have a hermie in the room... check for any light leaks or any red leds when photoperiod is off... also I would recommend dautch master reverse if you use this it should prevent any male organs to show up in your next grow

good luck

I dont see any signs of hermis.. Is it possible that a early defoliation at the end of week 1 of flower could cause a faster maturation of buds? :o

tbh no It wouldnt I always prune up to week 3 ... hermies normally develop small bananas inside the bud so its really hard to spot have another look

I'm still trying to fix it, last evening when tending to her, I noticed a few leaves in the middle of the plant showing magnesium deficiency. I was adjusting my DWC water up to 250 ppm with cal-mag before addding nutrients but I guess it wasn't enough. I gave her the full dose of cal-mag(5ml/3.78L) and waiting for new pistils.
I'll post here if/when the tops show new pistils.

i highly doubt your ability of being able to see and correct a defficiency and your doses are fruitless and rather a waste of time and money. im sure you "think" you are doing the plant better but i doubt it.

sorry not to agree with you..

i see so many growers that literally 99/100 would be better not adding a damn thing at all.

if you have done a few dozen grows using just good quality soil and no nutes id be more inclined to subscribe partially to your "ideas"..

25 years growing has taught me your prob one of the 99 !

and the evidence you give is the reason for my assessment.

no offence.

peace.

Well just so you know, my next step is lowering the nutrient solution, I think I am over doing it.
