Hi there, First post, First grow, I'd just recently switched lights from basically a 150w outdoor flood light , to a 400w MH, with the other light it was on 24 hours a day, my plants are only a couple weeks old, would it be ok to save on some power with the big light and switch them from 24/0 to 18/6? Thanks in advance!

welcome to RIU.org, bro! :hump: nice first post.

and my answer is... yes! i would absolutely suggest changing to 18/6. every living thing needs time to rest and so do your plants. give them some time away from light and save yourself some energy. should be fine. :peace:

Here's a picture of my babies.

Honestly people do 18 6 or 16 8 to develop a good root system early in the plants life.after about 2-3 weeks of that u can switch to 24 0 but u can easily do it the other way around

Currently the light is 20" from the top of the plants, with roughly 250-cfm of air moving through the "box" i guess you could call it.
