Hi!
I've been an apartment dweller for 7 years now. I've also been growing my own since I moved into this place. It's obviously a small time setup. Never more than 3 plants at a time. I had been growing in soil and was beginning to grow strictly auto flowering strains. Last spring, one of my sons, a friend of his, and I, set up a Hydro system here, (they did a great job of selling me on the idea). I would like to continue growing auto flowers, and I'm wondering if it's possible to do an "auto in soil" grow incorporating the hydro setup. (Everything is set up inside of a "tent" of sorts.) My thought is to plant the auto seed in soil, put it in the tent under the metal halide bulb for 18 hours. When we switch the hydro grow to 12/12, I would remove the Auto from the tent when that light, (HPS), gets turned off each day and put the Auto in a closet under my cfls. Has anyone ever done this.....attempted it.......or possibly considered trying it yourself??? (Did any of this make sense...lol...)? I'm kinda thinking it should work. However, any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, or whatever, will be greatly appreciated!!!!
