Is it possible to grow without cooling?

I want to grow in a 3 x 3 x 9 closet with a 400w hps but i have no way of setting up a cooling system that vents outside. Is there some other way to do this? Can I not cool the closet at all and just use the central ac?
In other words can I have a successful grow in a closet with nothing besides the lamp and a small fan? Thanks for any help or advice

I honestly doubt it. But you dont have to just vent the light outside. You could vent the closes into your room. You could run ducting from the AC vent in the room into the closet and try that. But to be honest youll spend more money in electricity than youll make from growing the crop assuming your gunna sell any of it. If you got money to burn that ya you can cool it with a house AC or go buy an AC

add co2 and exhaust holes at the bottom it might help out but you do need new air circulating

man i was in similar situation and bought sum duct ran it from my ac vent in my room to my grow closet.. worked perfectly cooled it down just enough to work out great! thats what id reccommend cause i have a 400 and heat is something im to familiar with lol wish id went with cooltube or aircooled but o well. goodluck!

You could just use cfl's and keep a fan moving the air in there, it should work, but not ideal. If you try it with any type of HID you will have heat issues.

does anyone have a link that shows how i can sent up a simple but effective cooling system from an air vent. Or is there anyway i can install a small ac unit in the space i am using to grow?
