Ok I am a total noob at shroom growing, but this product says you can grow right out of the jar. "Take the top off and grow right from the jar" do I need total darkness, and high humidity to do this? If so I can put it in the dark basement, in a rubbermaid tub. Would that work? Is it possible to grow right out of the jar? It seems convenient and cheap.

I was also considering the bag product. Dont know which one would be better for a noob, the bag or the jar.

you can grow right out of the jar, but you only get mushrooms on 1 side of the cake. When you take them out of the jars, you have alot more surface area...meaning more mushrooms. For a beginner, I would do PF cakes. Once you get that down, go bulk with grains.

i'm with kush, go with the pf cakes to start.... and def invest in a pressure cooker if you dont already have one, as it is a shroom growers best friend

wait that looks too easy. So all u do is order one of those. Order a syring inject it. Leave it in an air tight container ot whatever in the basement in pitch black or in a closer that no one uses. THen they grow???? wow.
