My honest opinion on your first attempt is not to topp them , these are my reasons ,
1 you will not gain any yeild , the plant will split the main cola into 4 or 2 cola's but they will add the same in weight as 1 main cola,
2 you have no height restrictions 7ft is plenty ,
3 Keep your first grow as simple as possible , do the simple things right ,
Follow this and listen to good advice you will be ok ,
Reading is good , loads of info out there , just remember its not the same as actually putting into practice , you will learn from your mistakes everyone does , but you can limit them ....

Man that is a big bitch for 14 days old. Or maybe I just have a small unit? ;) No for reals though it looks great. Mine is 14 days from seed and is more than 4x shorter than yours.

so 3 weeks then not 14 day from seed. i have 14 day and not that big and i have way way more hid lighting compared to weeker cfl to. not saying your lying...just seems odd to have double growth with cfl over 600 hid have yet to see any cfl beat hid....lets say how many days from popping out of the soil. ???

they popped out the soild on 10th october i think, Also switched to a 600w HPS Now decided to flower 12/12

ya as i suspected. not 14 days. i am true 14 and i popped out on oct 19...so how is less days more to you. today is nov 6th...thats not 14 day. id give maybe 2 to 3 day to get first set of leaves so take that off and that is age. im not saying your full of it just maybe mistaken on actual age.

heres an average looking reg sized 14 day plant. night and day diff for exact age...well not exact age as you started ahead of this 14 day plant. so how long under the cfl and how long under 600

Mine arnt really any different, been under cfl light for around 16 days now and just put them under hps now to flower.

way i see that pic it looked at least double this...im not doubting bud...just looks way way bigger. and all the veg done under cfl to boot and mine was 600 from get go. just dont add up is all. either
dont think im this bad after 30 years. do you have a journal goin on this..id like to watch see what you do if anything diff or out of norml to get this more than double anyone elses growth.

I haven't, the only thing i was doing with cfl was keeping them an inch away from tops also fed them baby bio, and soil is guano.
Im having trouble at the minute keeping my temp down, its 84.5 atm got an extractor fan, clip fan air purifier and 14" fan ??
Any Ideas ?

84 isnt to bad. in fact i run 84 quite often. its fine. with my co2 i run up at 86 even as its better for them with co2. depending on the guanno used it could be months before its available to the plant. only poo that is emmediate is worm castings. bat takes sometimes months to be broken down to a food form.

you got a pic of the set up...cant realy tell in first pics. maybe i can help with fans. sounds like you just need a real fan instead of the little ones, but i cant say as i dont know how big the extractor fan is or style of it

wow light is a mile up to far. im assuming the extractor fan is that to the left on the floor with a filter is looks like....get that off the floor....lol and why isnt the filter connected to the fan??...just playing around in there?
get the fan filter up above the light. and get that light down on top of them babies. man i bet they cant even see the light that far away. 600 should be about 8 inches above the tops...i doubt you will be able to with no tube in the bat wing.
i also see that fan is blowing oiut at floor and bringing hot air from top. get the fan/filter venting up at top holes in tent. and bring in cold from the bottom...heat rises

ah right so if i put my filter and extractor fan at top of tent and but ducting out of the top hole,,, then how would i get cool air in at the bottom ?

isnt there pre made holes like in all tents and the one your using right now in pic. just pull flap open and negative pressure draws it in. open all them.
what cfm is the fan and filter and what size tent is this. im running a few tents here and can get pics of how to. i may have some views in my journal..click link in my sig. if not i can do fresh pics for you. these look happy gir;ls so i dont mind an effort to dial the room in. room is the most important part of the grow hands down. if the room sux then nothing will work as it should then we blame the nutes or bad seeds., bhut its us being cheep on room conditons usualy

yeah there is a nice big square hole at the side of tent, also small holes for ducting and stuff, so yeah i will open them, my fan is a challenge 12" oscialting fan with 3 speed settings, filter is 100mm, anything else you need to no ??

the other fans can sit as is..moved the air at tops of plants and under canopy. its good. once this is mounted there will be tweeks and adjusting still. move the floor fans around if needed to move the air or help it in the right direction. get the fan/filter comvo opposite from the hole you use to draw air in from. so it can move across the room to cool it. it may need a small fan helping to push the air in the intake. but 1 step at a time

100 ml says nothing on cfm of the fan....is the hole in fan a 4 inch? or 6...looks about 4 to me in pic
and what size is this tent

and get that ballast of the floor unless you want to risk burning the house down. always keep electricity above the waiste and water below. asnd dont say your carefull cause we all have accidents...lol...is that a quantum by the way...nice ballast. i own 10 of them

slightly confusing that, so you want me to put the filter stuff at top on the right and move the fan to where ??

Yeah its a 600w dimming ballast,

dunno on size of tent it can fit 16 11L plant pots and yeah the fan is a 4inch
