Yes, but it shouldnt take too much longer.
Most of the opinions ive read say you want to wait until it gets to 4-5 nodes at least and a lot of people say 6.

No it is definitely not too early if you do it right. Try pulling the very last shoot with your fingers until it snaps.
This is how I top. It causes minimal stress since you only take off a tiny part of the plant!

I trim the bottom single leaf node off and start with the next one up. for my count itd be the 4th.
Thats why i said you arent far off though, youll probably be good in just a few more days.
I personally try to let them go to 8 and top to 6.

Had to look again to see what you meant lol. What's the benefit of trimming the bottom one off? And when would you go about doing that.

lol its mostly just personal preference.
I dont like cutting really small tips off and it gives the plant a little more time to get taller. I lay them down and make a manifold with LST so if the plant is a little bit taller it spreads the base of my plant out a little more making it a bit easier to train.
I found that the first nodes on my plants werent really developing like the rest. That and my training method of laying them down kinda smashes them down into my hydroton anyway. I figure its just wasted growth and get rid of them as soon as I feel the plants are big and healthy enough to start trimming.

Ahh okay that makes sense. Hoping to do a bit of lst soon . Gonna try on one in case I over do it , I'm fairly clumsy
