Is it Weed or Weed?

I have a quick question....3 days ago i went out to move my bbq and i noticed something that caught my eye in my garden...

It caught my eye and i didnt realize it but i was standing there looking for a good solid 10 minutes...

Is this just grass weeds or is it weed?

I need to know because if its grass weeds im gonna pull it out, if its weed im gonna need to get them out of my back yard.

But the leaf just like weed right ? You can find it from the smell....

my first thought was cleome, but it's not that IMO..... I'd let it go and see what it flowers into.

they both have palmately shaped leaves. cleome has opposite leaves though. the weed isnt putting out a flower yet. that ought to be interesting. i guess i like whatever it is because it could be a nice camoflage plant with mj hiding amongst the other weeds.

I'm highly intrigued, and hope he/she keeps this plant growing out of curiousity.... I'm leaning toward some type of 'false aralia' at this moment.....

Keep it growing for the masses

not mj im pretty sure but I agree to let it go just to see what it does do out of curiousity ... funky lookin little thing .. surley someone will know what it really is shortly ...

Whatever that is would make an excellent disguise for a ganja plant.
Picture a 5x5 garden full of that, with a plant in the middle.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potentilla_recta This is what it is. When I was younger I was convinced that it was weed, grows all over the place then one day as I was looking at a book on weeds I found it!!! Made me very sad :'(

Damn. Those are hard to get rid of. Not only do they propagate through seeds but they also spread through they're roots. Cut the plant down and you have two or three popping up in it's place. You have to dig out every scrap of root to get rid of them.
