Is light killing my root???

Strangely Enigmatic

Hey, I've had my plants in jiffy cubes for 4 days now and patiently waiting for enough roots to transplant. A nice healthy root poked out of one of them 2 days ago and suddenly its looking wilted, and browned. Is this something I should be concerned about? I read here that light will kill your root.. but how are you supposed to hide them from light during this stage? Or is it even that at all?

well mate, all i can say is that, I kept my seeds in a dark damp place until they sprouted.

After that i dropped them into some simple little cubicles like you get flowers in bulk.

if you're leaving the fresh root in the light i would say thats a no no

Here is a pic. That root used to look way stronger and healthier! What could i have done wrong?

I see the root in the middle. If I were you I would transplant as soon as possible. But I would have transplanted right as soon as I felt a root poking against the fiber screen thing.
