aside from that ^ it also generally grows harsher weed. it's so high in nitrogen it's hard to flush out. you'll see some people claim good results, but I don't think they are smoking good end product. if you can't find anything else cheap enough though you could use it in veg/early veg while you save for good nutes for flower. down to earth has pretty cheap boxes of dry nute. I'd advise the bat guano if you only get one, cuz it's my fav,

maxi grow/ maxi bloom from general hydroponics is a great 1 part gro, 1 part bloom nutrient, its cheap and in side by side tests produced better than many of the well known nutrients that are much more expensive ie, advanced, bc,foxfarm, etc.. the maxi series was very compareable to general hydroponics nova series and produced more than gh 3 part..ive wasted hundreds if not thousands of dollars testing hydro nutrients trying to find anything that will produce better yields than gh maxi/nova series and maxi or nova always yield best, taste, smell, growth, all best with gh maxi or nova none of the other brands ive tested compare.. also if maxi n nova are number 1, no. 2 would go to plantlife 3 part, 3rd would be fox farm, advanced nutrients in my test simply were lacking in something and finished in 7th or 8th place only a few yielded less than advanced like rock woo a &b,,,crap,, as far as miracle grow, save it for your outdoor tomatoes r somthing, in hydro it is toxic gets green growth in veg till burning then u need to flush like hell and dont even atempt blooming with it,,unless u like yellow leaves a week into flower and bud that even after a cure gets u a sore throat...anything including rock woo a n b is better ..
oh and just so u know im unbiased, wen i started growing i started with advanced nutes after i had heard how great they were, after 2 years i started testing other nutes just to see how they would compare,,results surprised me, i was expecting advanced to blow fox farm, plantlife, gh, and many others away,,but after growing with maxi, i felt i had to try n find better again,,,5 years were spent testing in side by side 4x4 f n d tables nothing beat maxi,,cheap and super effective

i tested additives and boosters also,,,save ur money, maxi is stand alone and contains everything mj plants need..

For brand new growers that still have a lot of research/learning to do then sure it'll get you through a grow. Don't expect to grow some top shelf product though.

NO......
MG has and most likely still does have schills, trolling MM websites to try and tell you it's great stuff for MM.
In reality these "schills" are doing this to wreck your grow on purpose!!! They are right wing anti MM (Scott's) so bad that they actually pay people to do this.....No bull!

Anything with timed release is not balanced or ratio'ed for MM.....MG ferts or nutrients are not either!

I would never use one of their products. They do more harm to the environment with products like round-up and other toxic sludge BS they sell.

Honestly it depends on the strain.... when I was a noob I had much success in miracle grow with dank aas bag seed.... but if your spending money on seeds I would definitely use pro mix or a good organic soil....

MG has several soils, some better, some worse
if it's the classic MG Potting Soil
then it's not the best thing you can buy because there are equally cheap organic soils
MG synthetics killed my 1st grow

MG has time released nutrients that are based on the veg cycle.
It can actually be pretty good for veg. Problems occur when you flip to flowering and you are still hammering the plant with veg ratio nutrients.

In short no its not. If you know how to NOT overfeed your plants. That would depend on your medium. If you're talking about MG soil (with time release, can't speak for their organic mix) Then I would personally pick something else if you're also adding nutes. For veg the All Purpose nutes work nicely. My last 2 runs were vegged with it & calmag+ from General Hydroponics. No problems at all. Then flowered with a plain 10/10/10 formula. Mind you veg and flower nutes both had Micronutrients. Has the same dose of MG does at full strength. Got some fatty buds. So no MG isn't bad. As long as you start slow and work your way up. I generally wait til they're at 3 weeks. Start feeding at 1/3 to half strength and go from there. I've also grown some big girls using Osmocote and guerrilla growing.

Just so you all know General Organics has been purchased by Scotts. So Stay away from that shit too.
i just found out about that,,, im pissed but im going to stick with gh maxi or nova unless scotts changes it...im pissed but gh spent years developing these great nutes...just pissed they sold to scotts and i hate to say it but scotts is getting my money now as gh still beat out all competition in my side by side tests...so long as scotts does not change the gh nutes they will still be top notch for mj growers indoors and out...

I feel you bro, when you find something that works then work it. I have used GH in the past but I'm mostly organic now so I don't buy much nutes. I just would hate to give them my money.
