Is my day 49 querkle ready??

So, this is my first grow... so far everything has been going pretty good. I ran five querkle, one black domina, and one purple high (this sativa seems to be going forever and crap genetics... lol)... ANYWAYS, of my five querkle, one was a bit of a runt. She was only about a foot tall when i put her into flowering, and that was after a 70 day veg. She did grow to about 2 feet after she started flowering, but still stayed pretty small. She had a smaller pot than the rest of the ladies which could amount to some of that, since the others are all four feet tall or higher... but she could also be slightly retarded, or maybe heavy into the indica genetics~ *shrugs* So today is day 49, she has shown amber/purple tric's for a few days now, and i am thinking more than 80% of the top ones are amber, but i could be wrong if that is purple as ive read in a few threads... again I am a newbie. So here is a pic of her~ I have no qualms about waiting 55 as attitude said, or 60 as subcool recommends... but honestly the ladies are in direct brutal Hawaiian sunlight most of the time, and under 1000hps when its cloudy or for supplement . so I imagine it wouldn't be too far of a stretch for her to finish early.. and also not surprised there is no purple hues because of the heat... They smell amazing though, one smells just like grape bubbalicious :D

It is not unusual to get a pheno that will finish that fast, we have one that is right in the same window. Your plant, your call.

Looks so frosty mmmm I pick my plants when around 40- 50% of the crystals turn amber. Everyone has their own system though. That's cool that you got a grape bubblegum pheno type. My buddy is still looking for this early pearl pheno he had way back, it had this really heavy grape bubblegum smell. I'll them him to forget it and just pick up some Querkles they look better anyways. Have you started to flush the plants? Oh and if this is your first grow check out some threads on drying and curing, you can ruin 60 plus days of hard work in just a couple of days if you mess up the last step. But I hope all goes well. Peace

Every phenotype is a little different, mine is early 50 days, so 49 is really close, but like i said, its your plant, you can see it in person, we can't.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, i think i'll let her go for now and play it by ear, doubt i will let her go past 55, but I dont want to be cutting them too early, haha,... i guess if this one ends up with completely amber trics i guess it won't be a complete loss ;P

Depends.

I personally harvest when crystals are milky with a few still clear.

Never did like amber...too couch locky, sleepy.

A few strains I harvest while all clear with a few milky....depends on strain and high desired.

I did have BubbleBerry that finished in 45 days

lol, so approximately i have 14 hours 35 mins and 23 seconds remaining! ill keep watching the clock..

Yea brimck, , i think this one is beyond done by now for what i like, but I am going to let it run the full 55 days just for experience sake since this is going to be my first plant ever started from seed and finished... i think my big querkles will take a bit longer to finish as well... i think its cool how each of the 5 is different in its own way..

Yeaaaaaaa, you don't want like 80% amber unless you're trying to create a super-CBD heavy cannabis strain. Which I think is an awesome idea! But in general you don't want cannabis that doesn't get you high but makes your body feel amazing and sleepy. This being said, I just harvested a plant 2-3 weeks late for this exact purpose; but that's what I wanted to do. Anywho 1) you're super fu*king lucky to be growing in Hawaii; my state sucks and 2) you should cut a few small leaf samples from your plants in question and look at them under a 60-100x microscope (I think you did this but without being convinced of what you're seeing; also I've never heard of purple trichomes so make sure your ambient room lighting is good and standard, ie no colored party lights in the room). It does take a bit of time to figure out harvesting by trich color but it's really the best thing to do. GL!

Thanks for the tips :) I feel pretty blessed to be living out here. I have one of those little microscopes but i cannot seem to get it to focus correctly... maybe I bought a crappy one, or just a newbie. Anyways, she is getting more and more ambery, so probably going to chop her today or tomorrow. I will post some pictures after just for a follow up~

You have to get right up to the bud to see through it, I had the same trouble as you.
Like touching the bud with the little magnifier! 60x is easier to see for me

i like to examine the lower and upper buds of the plant, with a few just starting to amber but mostly milky

I think that plant at least needs another 7 to 10 days,it will put a little more weight and be more potent if you let her go,If anything I let my plants go an extra few days due to the taste and potency

Get a microscope. Only way to really be sure. Enjoy your buds. Personally tossed my Querkle phenos as the yields weren't there, but my lady loved the buds.

yea, finally got the microscope on point... she was ready to go, i chopped her up and hung her to dry... she is curing, sampled a small nug... was so smooth, heavy creeper stone... but like you said, the yields are not there.. i have four others that were 4 feet tall, just chopped them as well~ ill be getting about a qp each i think
