You need to chill, take into account that what you are currently doing is a waste of time if you want only 3 grams out of a harvest.

Yeah, it can all be fun and games. But we're not making pasta pictures now are we? We're growing pot. Pot = Money, Money = Better equipment in future & also saves you alot of money if you're constantly buying from others. Invest time on learning how to grow before you make assumptions on what you think is best.

Anon emaus is right, research, research and research. We're here to help you out. Not harass you. We're just advising.

So I had some problems my lights dropped on my plants .... 1 fan leaf on each plant completely broke off and 2 fan leaves on one plant are hanging off .... I proped them up hoping they will heal back together but I'm unsure will the plants be OK ?

Here's some pictures of the damage up close I just took the broken leaf off
It's all good...they are preflowering now so you should see white pistils emerging soon; when you do mark your calendar as day 1...day one of flowering. Count out 65-70 days into the future & that's probly a good estimate for your harvest window.

oh awesome I didn't know they were preflowering yet everyone said it wasn't flowering yet and to wait so I should aim to harvest before 70 days is up ?

It's not....Preflowering is when the plant gets that structure like its doing now...it is about to start pushing pistils but I wouldn't call it flower phase until it does....when you see actual white pistils emerging from the nodal areas then MAYBE in 70 days it will be done but I'm trying to show you how to determine your harvest window. You've got to see the color of the trichome heads to determine ripeness but you can estimate your plants will be close to finishing at 65 days or more if its an Indica or hybrid; most sativas take longer to ripen. Don't aim for anything let the plants tell you when they are done.

I wish there were a general consensus on what constitutes "flowering"

HAHA your funny
I'm not trying to be an ass or anything. You could flip a sativa to 12/12 and not see flowers for two weeks. Some would say that's two weeks flowering. You could be running 18/6 and see preflowers and some would say you're not "in flowering". If you do 12/12 from seed would you be in perpetual flowering? No. There's no clean cut definition for "flowering" let alone when "seedling" stage ends. It just urks me.

I was just thinking of the fact that you could ask 10 people anything about growing and more than likely get 8 different answers on how and when things happen. :) It made me laugh to think that there could be any uniformity in it :P

Damn you biology. Why can't things all be the same? Fuck evolution.
