Is my plant maturing?

I came across a plant in my woods bout 3-4 wks ago,about 2.5ft tall. It looked like it needed some attention so I gave it water, and within a few days transplanted it into a 5gal. It looked really sad from shock and a few of leaves had turned yellow and eventually died/came off. Now Ive nursed it back to health, moved it to a safer location, and its doing splendid. The only problem is im not sure if its past maturity or is maturing now. Ive noticed first signs of lttle tiny round things first appearing on the bottom branch of the plant(which is the thriving very well)at the end where new leaves are forming there seems to be small spiky things and growing next to it these tiny little pods. There are also some at the top.Im thinking it may be a male but it looks like newleaf growth?? Somebody help me out here...
If it happens to be male, are there some recipes for making hash or brownies that someone can refer me to?

I cant find my effin camera cord to upload pics. :/ All Im wondering is if females do get little bitty pods that open into leaves during vegatative growth. Im pretty sure its in veg state until the time changes which is about 2 more months.

if they look like lil pods are they in lil bunches of like 4 or 5 then its male
but you said they open and turn into leaves then thats what they are is leaves they will grow into new branches if your in the us they will start flowering soon

Thieves are really frowned upon here. Many of us have been ripped off, and would like nothing better than to put their balls in a vise.

There are lots of methods for making edibles and hash.

Do some reading.

It was actually growing on my property, there are many stoners that ride all through here so more than likely a seed got tossed from somebody I know, and I got lucky.

lol nothing will happen in a couple months except a harvest or almost harvest. or a shit load of fuckin dead seeds. flowering time started a week or two ago and most people wont get it till tomorrow or a little after. outdoor plants DO NOT WAIT FOR 12/12 it is more like 14/10

In two months,it will be 12/12 here. I pretty new at this, but Ive done research over the age of my stonerism and Ive acquired pretty useful info... and I think Im gonna let this baby grow as long as its warm here, which is the end of august. I would think it would be ready to harvest by then...
If im wrong about anything, i would be THANKFUL for someones lovely advice. Im going to try and get some pics on here asap...whenever I find that damn camera connector, or come up with some money
