you watched it flower for 2 months but didnt read any info on harvesting? very easy, if you have a jewelers loupe of 30x or better.

not quiet ready. post some more pics in a week and try to get closeups of the buds. i got my pocket scope for $4 on amazon. the scope is the easiest way to check the trichromes. GL

to keep others from getting neck strain try to post the pics right side up. lol

Yup I agree, most of the fan leaves have yellowed plus all the little leaves are starting to yellow aswell, checking trichs tho is the fnal test, but shes ready in my opinion also. I grew a Big Bang once and kept checking the trichs, mostly clear and cloudy (20 % clear) but all the leaves were yellowing like yours, I waited until more cloudy trichs to appear but the ratio was the same all the way through....I ended up cutting it and did find some seeds in the finished cured product...weird...mate said that it just threw a few seeds out as it was right at its end, The trichs were still 20% clear when I cut it aswell, no amber at all. Any ideas? Got me stumped, good smoke tho, light and fruity.

Ceeds have nothing to do with Trichomes and when to harvest. Ceeds mean the plant either Hermed, or, she got tagged from another Herm or male plant somewhere.

Yeah thanks mate, I wasnt implying that seeds were a sign of finishing, just that I had a few because I had left my big bang go too long because I was watching for trichomes to change colour. Hence I was wondering if some strains actually don't get the amber trichomes...So sorry for any confusion.

20X works fine, I don't feel the need for any more magnification. I'm not looking to be on a first-name basis with my trichs.

I'm definitely down with 30-50% amber trichs - it really depends on how much medical/ couch-lock/ body high your're looking for. Amber trichs are still rich in thc, it's just aged more; like a super fine wine. Find the ratio that fits your high.

I've got a trio of ladies from the same strain.... one's sativa dominant (3feet maybe) with FAT/TIGHT buds 12 weeks in FLOWER!!!! CLEAR trichs.. and the other 2... STRAIGHT INDICA 6 footers!! Indoor!! HUGE BUDS!!! Trichs are finally turning on these two, yet there are plenty of white hairs still... I guess what i'm getting at is, NO TWO PLANTS ARE THE SAME FROM SEED!!! So you just have to use your best judgement after you get that loop....
