Yes. go all the way down to the first two nodes, when she regrows you will get for main branches

Or tie her over 45 degrees and those side shoots will become main branches.

If you want to clone her and get good clones, make sure she is mature first. Then clone first 4-6 from bottom up, wait a week or two and lone another 4-6
Look at my album below at Clone 101 and 101/2

have you ever heard of someone cloning without rooting gels? And have gotten a growing plant as a result.

Yeah there was an article in High times a few months back and the guy just cut a long stem and stuck it in a 16 oz cup with Light warrior and says it was that easy.

Yes, bending the plant over will give him many more donor sites, or cloning from top down and leaving just the last two nodes ( from bottom) topping the plant at the sametime.

Cloneing from top down? The top has less hormones and is the hardest part to clone.

In theory that is correct with a propperly pruned mother. That is not what he has.

If it makes you feel better, he can clone top up from the second node :)

My language did throw you a curve ball, pardon me for that.

taking clones from the bottom at this point will leave him with a palm tree, not a very good shape for a mom.

 Well it sounds like he cloned from the TOP. Right? (later posted he cloned)
Now I doubt they will root but lets see. :joint:

so when you take a clone from the top they dont root?
All growth shoots can root and do, I just did a run of 15 cuttings from a plant that were nothing but tops.
Rooted cuttings that were weeks in flowering and cloned clones.

If you have a strain that is very difficult to clone, even a monkey can get have of them to live.

A mother plant that is years old cloning from the top could be a challenge.

your plant is thriving with hormones from the roots to the tip. Roots can also be cloned!

You might fail this time and maybe next, you will have a proper mother plant that is mature enough to make cloneing a snap

Controlling your clones enviroment (temp, humidity, water ph and cleanliness) and you will be a cloning machine.

You have a lot to learn, read the FAQ at the top of the website to make a better go at it. Good luck Grower!

Hormomes are strongest at the bottom and most easist to clone, middle is a little harder to clone and less hormones than bottom, Top part is the hardest to clone due the fact that the top has the least amount of hormones.
I clone from the bottom and my clones are well rooted and ready for a container in 7 days.
