I use pro Mix but anything void of nutes would be fine you could have just put en in the rapid rooter there are plenty of seed starting mixes readily available on the market

if your talking to me i was having space issues so using the 1k for veg and the CFL rig for flower was my best option....worked out really good actually. i now have a 600w in the veg tent and the CFL rig went to a buddy of mine growing his first pant.

also, when you plant them in soil dont be afraid to bury the stems a bit and get the lights nice and close to them with a fan on the. otherwise they will stretch and have weak stems and flop over like a limp dick.

Ya it would be better now than when the roots are spider webbing cuz any damge to your roots will put the plant in shock...but it will snap back..
