I'd say about 60% of the hairs are brown, haven't checked the trichromes yet, what sort of power magnifier do you need for that?

needs longer, you want a 30 or 60 x mag scope, around 8 to 10 weeks should b good depending on strain

can i also say if you got a few plants and buds to spare then try a few early to see what u think.

I would say that they are pretty darn close. Start a good flush and harvest in 7-10 days. Skunk #1 is about a 7-9 week flowering strain.

And liking this try-before-you-harvest idea, do you need to do a speedy drying thing or can you just smoke it wet?

i use a volcano so not a prob, put it in cardboard with kitdhen towel over night or micro it, best over night though. i never go over 8 weeks cause gets to heavy for me.

Judging by your journal, and my ladies which are also 6 weeks flowering, I would say at least another 2 more weeks.
