people can bitch about his gear all they want, if you want fruity, sweet and/or candy flavored finished product, buy tga gear. If you never grew f1's and decide to buy some and go "holy shit this "strain" is unstable!!! no wai!!! subcool sucks" then your loss.

subcool is more of a breeders breeder...the strains do have variation and i believe its meant so you can pickout the phenos you want...dank is dank 4 me so if i get a 10 pack and get four pheno variations of females im fine with that as im looking to find different strain leaning phenos both indica and sativa

Now I see where all my females went. Send my my half!
I have popped 7 plushberry with 1 female, and 1 to be determined.
I popped 2 jillybean, both males.
I popped 2 deep purple, both males.
I popped 2 querkle, both males.
So earlier I said 12, but I was just guessing. Now that I listed it, its actually been 13 TGA seeds and so far I have had 1 female and 1 to be determined.

Yes male to female ratio just sucks other then dat once u find a female it smooth sailin

ill tell you why. I got 6/8 that have showed female so far. so you just had pure bad luck, aka its hit or miss. I got all the females lol. sorry. not subs fault. other people got lucky you didnt, sorry bro.

There are so many breeders out there that it's hard to decide which strains to grow. I can only grow six mature strains at a time so I have to pick my strains very carefully. I do know that Subcool is a good grower, he's very active in these forums, and lots of people like his strains. So why not give him a try?
All I really want are good viable seeds from potent strains grown by people who really know what they are doing. And if I have questions or problems during my grow, I'd like to be able to reach out and talk to someone about it. The thing that sold me on sub's seeds was the crazy amount of photos he's always posting, how nice his strains look when grown by average people with simple setups, and also how easy it is to get a hold of Sub should I ever run into a problem.
Is he the best? Hell if I know. I haven't tried them all so I couldn't say. Is he the most grown? I doubt it, but I'm sure he's up there. If I had to make a guess, I would say Dinafem is probably the most grown since so many people get them for free. I've been growing for years and only recently bought TGA seeds.

Hey althor, in case you did not, you may need to hang onto the deep purple and querkles a while longer before fully determining sex. im no newbie, and i was fooled by my querkles, i thought i had only one female out of ten and let them go for another 5 days or so, and what i thought were small pollen sacks were actually unusual looking calyx that ended up shooting out female pitils.
As for me, i have always gotten a better ratio of females when germinating seeds if i make sure the temp stays between 60-75 degrees. If its over that you will usually see more males. i ordered tga after some serious consideration. So far i have only finished my chernobyls, and i have querkles and agent oranges halfway thru bud. And ive got the flav, apollo13bx, and pandoras box in veg. i can tell you that even tho i didnt get a crazy frosty chernobyl like some of the pics ive seen on RIU and elsewhere, its still incredible dank and i love the flavor. I haven't really seen alot of variation in the chernobyl, agent orange, or querkles. The chernobyls i did see three different phenos, and im goin to run them all again, but the querkles i have 2 urkle dom and 2 sq dom. And the agent orange, there were only 2 phenos, i got a couple squat bushy orange velvet dom, and one tall jtr dom thats starting to smell kinda like a whiskey sour. And i can already smell my apollo's 4 weeks into veg, they all look the same so far and just like the rest of the tga strains i have, Subcools description of the smells is dead on. And basically from my experience with his strains so far, there isn't a huge variation. And what sold me on his genetics is his accessibility and the amount of info out there on his strains. I have also now tested supersoil, and i must say it has worked wonderfully for me. As soon as i get a camera i will be posting journals, but for now alls i can do is say that if you buy TGA seeds and run them you should not be dissapointed. Chernobyl grown in supersoil is by far the tastiest pot ive smoked thusfar in my life.

That very well could be the case. I may not have given them enough time when I saw the weird round pods popping up. I am ok with blaming myself. My temps are generally nice. I havent had this ratio with any other breeders Ive been using so I dont think its an environment issue. It could very well have been pods that hadnt produced pistols. I have 2 plushberry in the first week of flowering now. One does have the little pods, the other is undetermined. Ill give the first one a few more days though to make sure I get multiple balls.

Soo stable is not really "stable" since determining that cromosones can be affected by environment and passed on to successive gen's ...
Now respected breeder chimera says dominate and ressive alleles will line up no matter what so even if you fuck yourself 100 times it still won't make yourself again... The Aa bB bB aA is too powerful...
Now crossin f-1s or f-10s I still see 3-5 phenos example : my c99 from brothermonk at breedbay he has inbread them 3-5 times himself but when I pop 5 I get 2 pheno males an 2 pheno females an one runt... So if I popped a bros grim PAC now I bet the same 4 phenos pop up just cuz that's the way the genetics line up in my environment ....
Stable?? The same as a clone?? Nope not often .. But close always ... Pop 100 seeds of anything the diversity is boggling now inbreed the traits narrow but only to a point then they weaken too much...

I've had subs gear for years and never had a bad germ rates or mostly male problems. As far as his best yielding strain I've had it's the shorter Agent Orange pheno. My A.O keeper I've held on to longest is the taller phenotype that yields less but is stronger and tastes better. If your look on his website the info on the strains is pretty close from what I've grown. I can say that Vortex ,Agent Orange,Querkle and Jack the ripper have had a spot in the garden for many years. For the past year or so I've added Plush berry. My 4 oldest running strains are Sour Bubble,Destroyer,Chocalope and Agent Orange so i do grow other breeders gear and not only Subcools.

So I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how many females I have destroyed prematurely. lmao. Fucking plant count! If they even think about not being female they are done. Out of a pack of Underground Originals Killer Skunk I had one female out of a whole 10 pack. lmao. Agent Orange, all males. (out of 3), Jack the Ripper (1 female out of 4) Jilly Bean (1 female out of 5). But with Querkle, Apollo 13, Chernobyl, Vortex, Plush Berry, Space Dog, and a few other I can't think of off hand I have had excellent ratios. Well Time Wreck is another. I think I have 3 female out of 4. And the three females are TW1, 2, and 3. The smaller one is the male (was the male, I cut his ass yesterday. lol)
