Are you trying to guess when it happens? Do you not know? There is lots of information around on RIU and lots of other places that can tell you exactly when the conversion happens. Judging by your posts, you seem to base much of what you know on opinions and conjecture. There is no need when to guess when there is lots of evidence and proof laying around.
that was a great post. just recently a grower and freind of mine was forced to pull a crop of purple kush early. it was premature and was not flushed at all. (he was growing hydro) he grows nothing but purple kush perpetualy and he always flushes with clearing solution and folows with plain water and the bud is always smooth and nice tasting. on this crop he had to pull early with no flush, i rolled a joint of the bud and lit it up! as soon as i took the first hit i choked on harsh, nasty, hot smoke. it was sick! it also gave me a headache! SO EVERYONE WHO READS THIS THREAD PLEASE FLUSH ALL YOUR PLANTS PROPERLY AND TELL OTHERS TO DO THE SAME. IF FLUSHING WAS REALY POINTLESS THEN NO ONE WOULD DO IT. there are 100 threads on the boards about how hermies are the greatest thing ever for feminized seeds. what a load of crap. now this "don't need to flush" shit pops up as well. it's all BS.
what replaces the nutes is the dead foliage. you know compost. how it get there in the first place.

But did you pull it BEFORE it had a chance to have a decent dark period? I did some flushing tests and i saw no change. I started using a 72hour dark period before harvesting and i get the smoothest most flavorful smoke from all my harvests now and i can pump her full of nutes till the very end. I have a low post count and someone with a higher one tried to make me look bad though so im sure this information will be ignored but at least i grow using botany and my methods are based off of empirical evidence .How many of you can say that? i know why the leaves change, FDD and his blind followers dont get it. and your mostly right...the length of the days plays a role and the leaves of perrenials yellow because the plant is pulling the stored nutes from them for the long winter.
