Is the 1200 ppm of CO2 worth it. Help an ametur decide.

Ok so heres what I got.

4x 5 gal DWC buckets in 10" pots, hydroton in a 4'X4' tent. Each plant has a personal screen that is 30"x15", leaving just enough room for the fan.

Running 4 strains, La Confidential, Chemdog, Montana Silver-Tip, and Tangerine Dream.

Air-cooled Growzilla with 2 600w Phantom digitals, Agrosun HPS and Sunpulse 6.4 MH, hung 8" off the plants.

From what I read and the results I am aiming for, I want to increase my CO2. This 4'x4' tent sits inside a 10'x10' grow room. Also in this room is one 3'x3' veg tent(400w mh) that may have some seedlings in it for a little bit(because I grow personal I plan to start from seed each time, feminized of course.

My thought is is that since this larger space only gets opened for 1/2 and hour each day(just after starting the day) would it be cost effective to just assume that I need to fill a 750 cubic foot space once a day with CO2 to the 1500ppm and the just maintain it for that 24 hr period.

My thoughts with this are first, is this a large enough air space that I could tightly seal these four plants in with added CO2 for 24hrs and be ok? and secondly, is there a better way to do this that im not seeing?

Room is 72° 24/7, great air circulation, have been growing in soil in 10 gal pots with Roots 707, my DWC grow starts in about 2 weeks and Id like to have this figured out by then.

Another thought. I have been using the Exhale bags but given my limited experience(5 months growing) and a lack of ability to see CO2 I don't really know if they are doing anything.

I could try taking them out but that seems stupid to me given that you cannot pause their use and it cant be a bad thing.

Anyone ever actually seem what these bags raised their space levels too?

I would love some first hand consumer data but my system so far has nearly drove the wife off.

I am rambling, and stoned.

goodnight.

I would look at like this your already into what sounds like a very nice set up. C02 is just the next step.

Heres what I did as a beginner and it works so well currently I have no plan to change it.

I did what your doing and weighing the options, for me I have a sealed-able 15x8 space that I keep in a range of 700ppm - 1200ppm. I do this with a 50# C02 tank (craiglisted tank for 30 bucks), 15min. timer, and a standard reg. from the hydro store. Simply by spacing out my gas three times a day at 5.5cfh. I was able to get everything very close, and then confirmed my saturation with a lent meter.

I saturate the flower room directly and the air circulation from the carbon filter transfers co2 and takes care of the mom veg. room. Being a sealed room co2 was a a have to for me. and there was and is a very noticeable difference in all plants.

IMHO, co2 is very worth it.
