I've had Volcano and Extreme. I like the Extreme more. Both are great. I don't really have any cons for the Volcano other then you can't use a whip with it. I like the Extreme because of how durable it is, how good it works, the features it comes with and how overall I feel it's a great value for the money. It doesn't feel like a cheaper unit in any way. The bowl size is a good point, but until it was mentioned I never really noticed it. I will say that I think the temp reading on the Volcano is a little more accurate or rather feels like it's the actual temp of the weed, where as on the Extreme I get the feeling its taking a reading of the bowl or the air. Its still not a problem because after 1-2 uses you quickly find the sweet spots on both units.

Either units will make you happy.

Bullshit.....I own both....the volcano is way better

I owned and used my first non dig.volcano daily for 10 years before I gave it to my nephew...hes still usin it 2 yrs later...machines 12 yrs old

You get what you pay for......I like to own something that I can use for years
Bullshit hey? I've been using my Q for 2 years everyday for hours no problems ever, they have a lifetime warranty on the heating unit aswell. My good friend has a dig volcano, and although there is no flaws other then no whip which i wouldn't use anyways, i still prefer the bags from my extreme Q hands down. Maybe its just because im so used to it but i would say the extreme q is much more bang for you buck. As somebody mentioned before though i have broke the glass on glass once, which is a major con of the Q.

I dropped mine multiple times onto concrete in my garage while tooling around on my car when I was younger. Still works to this day. Has a couple dents. Fell around 3ft.

I will say the maintenance is expensive on it, and I'm interested in their new handheld unit. It seems like you'd only have a screen to worry about replacing (those damn bags are expensive and don't really last that long).

I find myself using the volcano more personally. I got mine as I enjoyed hitting the whip on my buddies, but it ultimately was a pain to maintain physically (the whip hose) and got gummed up pretty quick. The screens seemed flakey too. As far as bags went I guess I just go what I'm used to. The glass breaking I have done as well. It becomes very easy to do after a long session. But replacements are cheap. Overall maintenance is quite a bit less with it, especially using the whip. I think the build quality is reasonable but it's nowhere near as high as a volcano. I don't think it would break from use, but I also don't think it would survive a 3ft fall onto cement.

Volcano vaporizers dont give off metal particals....the heating element is ceramic......

Alot of the cheaper vaporizers... have the metal heating elements ur talking aboout

Why ur having problems inhaling with the vapor is because its hot air hitting the back of your throat....... higher temps = harsher vapor (above 365*F)

my main issue with the extreme is its glass on glass ....I've already broke that 2 times in 1 year and the weed area is too small with a small hole to allow air to blow through

SHITTTT check out http://www.vriptech.com/home.htm my very first vaporizing tool... turns your bong into a vaporizer...best vape hits ive ever gotten

volcano's weed chamber.... almsost a inch wide

Extremes weed chamber its less than 1/2 inch

You should try an elbow hit, Pack the bowl/screen with your meds. All air goes through this elbow piece. I don't put mine in the chamber that you show a pic of. I put mine in the elbow screen

I have two vaps. An at home unit, Silver Surfer it's very smooth and uses very little herb to work. Away from home Magic Flight Launch Box is very nice. Laugh at the wind on ski lifts or bike trails. Once on our way to dinner I took the back seat. We had the air conditioner on and car windows up, my wife and daughter had no idea I was vapping away in the back seat.Hiesenberg.jpg

so i went out and got myself A Volcano a few days ago and i couldn't be more happy. the bag makes it way easier, i don't know why anyone would want a whip after using this. i would recommend it to anyone! especially for those who need it long term because based on my experience the inefficiency of all of the cheaper vapes makes getting my pain under control harder. digital temp settings make getting the same temp each time so much easier, my vapor brothers would change while i use it. not to mention after i fitted a four foot bag i only need to fill it twice to medicate so it only takes 20 min as apposed to the 45min-1hr which doesn't work very well if you want to live a live and need it ever few hours. so overall iit totally worth the cost

I just got the extreme Q and its really nice. I actually prefer the glass on glass. I just think its smoother and cleaner. I know it will break if your not carefull, so be careful. Plus whats really cool is they give you extra glass bowls incase you do break them. so you always have a spare. Plus this and the volcano are the "aficionado's" smoking device, so to me it MUST be glass on glass. I am really impressed with the quality of the extreme q and it has a lifetime warranty. I am sure the volcano is even better quality, but the q is like 1/3 the price. I have only tried the q with the whip and it is really great. I can already tell it will cut my usage in half, just because it uses so little buds. The only complaint I have with the extreme q is the screen just doesnt stay in place, and sometimes little pieces of bud fall onto the element. but as long as you dont suck too hard or shake it too much your fine. I am sure I can think of a way to keep the screen in place. I cant wait to smoke some Kief in it. And I am fucking baked so I will stop rambling on now in this post... lol

I agree.. i have outmost faith that my volcano will last decades if not a lifetime..
It seems a lot of people hate on Volcano simply because they cannot afford it...

I have had mine for about 6 years give it a wipe down and it looks brand new... Nothing is more awesome than filling up a bag from the volcano and passing it around, works really well with the ladies too because its a smooth hit and isnt gonna make the broads choke. The price is what makes people hate on it, but in the end its that old saying " you get what you pay for " , the things are manufactured in Germany.

The heating elements are what make the volcano expensive, I know a lot about hot air guns that are used for plastic welding and geo membrane and thats about the same life time for a a leister hot air gun thats used on the field to weld plastics, and what do you know Leister Hot air guns were manufactured in Germany just like the Volcano. Oh a brand new Leister hot air gun costs about 475 dollars.

Do you think I would gain anything going from a Vapor Brothers whip style to the forced air n bag system like a Volcano or extremeQ? I've had my vape for about two years and it's the only way I have ever smoked.

I have an Extreme Q. I use the whip with a glass on glass bong attachment. I want to get a nicer bong - I still like that method. I've never used the back, although it offers that.

I used it almost exclusively when I first got it a year ago. I've been smoking more again in the past few months, but I'm trying to move back mostly to the vaporizer. Maybe I'll just go back and forth like that, but I think I got my money's worth, especially since I got my Extreme Q on Amazon for less than $200.
