so maybe i'm being paranoid, but this is my first grow, and i'm trying hard to make it a good one. i'm growing nirvana's short riders. they're four weeks in soil and growing like crazy. about a foot tall already. they don't seem to be suffering, but i want to make sure i'm not heading down a bad road. they're growing in fox farms ocean forest with a little vermiculite mixed in and under 20,000 lumens of cfl light, mostly 2700k at this point. i just started feeding them at the beginning of their fourth week. pure blend bloom every watering (roughly 48 hours) at 1/8 strength. a few of the leaves are getting spots on them, and the edges are a little rough looking. all of the new growth and most of the old is fine though.

That doesn't look like PM to me. Look under the leaves for signs of bugs, ie. eggs, mites, webbing etc. Except for the couple of little blemishes, your plants look really healthy. I wouldn't sweat it too much.:blsmoke:

nope, doesnt' wipe off, but i didn't try the milk formula, just a little distilled water. i'll try it later tonight. the leaves almost look a little thin in those places. would that sort of mildew eat through a leaf? a few of those spots are more brown-ish... nothing under the leaves to suggest bugs. haven't seen anything either. they seem to be pretty heathy, i just don't want them to go south in a hurry. better safe than sorry i thought... i didn't give them any nutes this watering. seemed like 1/8 evry watering was pretty light though.

thought i'd post up a few better pics. don't think it's the mildew after seeing the pic of the roses. thanks for the input so far, btw... they're officially 4 weeks in soil today.

you can see the blistered edges around the yellow spots on the leaves. its probably from water left on the leaf after watering that magnified the light from the cfls and burn a scar into the leaf.
