Somebody041..... The micro-beasties (good bacteria & fungi) in the SPT or the well aged compost, will help breakdown the fruit juice concentrate to a very soluble (useable) form. That way your plants can take in more of it, more easily.
.
Hope this helps......
Keep it Real.....Organic......

Plz tell me .. what the hell is SPT?

How about an old trick.... that's cheap & works......
.
Take 1/2 a can of frozen juice concentrate (flavor or your choice) grape, apple, pineapple, or even the pina colada mix - add to two gallons of unchlorinated water, add one ounce of SPT, or a sock with a handful of well aged compost. Bubble for two days, then give each girl one quart of this mix, via the root zone.
.
This must be done, three days before the finish / harvest. Do not water afterwards (or add to the reservoir), to ensure maximum flavor is absorbed.
.
Cheap, simple, & effective......

Hope this helps......

ohsogreen... THANK YOU! you are the man. your advice is always so clear and innovative.

i just sampled some of the buds that i tried this method on. all i can say is holy shit, what an amazing difference. i am never going to consider products like sweet again!

background: 10 blue dragonite plants under a 1000w hps. fed BMO nutes + worm casting/molasses/seaweed tea. flushed for a week.i'm not sure of the history of the strain but it is a very sweet blueberry smelling herb. you can tell someones' smoking it in the room because the aroma even smells dank in the exhaled smoke.

anyways, i read this advice and decided to try it on half of my plants. i chose "berry punch," a safeway brand, because it seemed like the best match.

anyways i applied the tea as per the instructions. another thing to note: i left the plants in 48 hours of darkness before harvest.

bottom line: the half that got the tea treatment smell and taste 1000x better! every single person i've shared it with has commented on how it is the most delicious tasting weed they've ever had.

i have some green crack plants i'm about to throw into flower and i can't wait to feed them with a mixture made of mango juice concentrate!

so ohsogreen, thank you very much for sharing your secret. i hope you don't mind that i share this trick (along with credit to you of course) to others. i encourage all others to try it out on half their plants next harvest. what do you have to lose? the juice concentrate is only like $1.00!

Just google compost tea, there are tons of recipes and step by step things to show you the best way to do it. No need to flush it out, and anything you grow will taste better. Be it fruit, veggies, MJ. Compost tea instead of synthetic ferts is the way to go.

Don't let people fool you and try to convince you to flush your worm castings out of the soil before harvest, I feed it all the way until I stop watering. Even smaller fan leaves don't taste bad so you're less inclined to chop off those kief covered leaves!

Is this why my dank smells so well dank!? It's not even fully cured yet :weed:

I'm a believer
Organic buds smell like fruit right off the plant! The real thing that makes molasses fantastic is the microbe activity it begins. Some of these microbes excrete pure phosphates as waste from breaking down the sugar. Thats the beauty of a compost tea, apart from getting NPK from it, it also grows your microherd! Thus I say again, why flush?

bubble for 2 days means put the liquid in a container with an airstone bubbling to prevent anaerobic bacteria from developing.

you must be watching my grow lol compost tea, molasses, organic

I flushed one plant, and others not so much, staggered harvest. Just experimenting to see what works best I guess, and I did load the soil up with organic nutes

But I was pleasantly surprised as I stood with my nose in the jar the first day. yummy! :weed:

I don't usually read grow journals, I've just been doing alot of research into alternative fertilizers. I myself use only homeade compost and tea. I grow everything this way, not just MJ and you can really tell the difference in quality. I sprouted some pepper seeds from a hybrid I bought at the store and the ones I grew in the good black were nothing like the gunk from the store. With peppers there is a chem taste you get on the tip of the tongue normally.

try using sweeteners during flowering such as AN Sweet leaf, AN Bud Candy, AN Nirvana, GH Fruit Fusion, Bottanicare Sweet, etc
