hello, im curious if there is a way to know or tell if the hole you/i dug out of the ground, an filled with soil is not quite deep or big enough? .. if you think or know that it is a little too shallow, can it be fixed in anyway? ... obviously the ground goes a long ways down, but wouldnt you think i may hit clay? and if i do hit clay will it grow through it? around it? same with harder soil further down, will it grow through the harder soil? is the harder natural soil a bad thing? even thou u have dug a hole with better soil for the other part of the root system to use? ..

... i am worried my holes just arent big enough, when i transplant they shot up so wonderfully.. now that its been a little while, they seem to not be getting much bigger, maturing with leaves between the fan leaves also known as branchs are starting to form..

also, will the roots grow outwards if for some reason they can no longer grow down
