Is there any hope!

Realized I stretched it with having light to far from the plant but now a week later after fixing that it won't grow is there any hope for her or should I toss it

hahah i know its pretty bad, and your right i will do for sure, whats your opinion on topping the soil to just about the leaves does that make sense as well ?
 
ac19420 is correct, re-pot it and fill the soil to about 1/4" from the seed leaves, this will support it and the whole length of the stem under the soil will grow roots, there is nothing wrong with that seedling, remember "YOU" are your plants worst enemy, lol.
 
I did the same thing to all my plants when I realized I had not put enough soil in the pots after transplanting. I topped them all off and they did just fine and are growing great. Remember what Sativa said... YOU are your plants worst enemy. I have to remember this myself alot. lol.
 
thanks alot guys, topped up the soil to about half inch from the leaves hoping to have some better pictures to post on here soon !
 
actually worked, shes starting to grow again guys sprouted 2 more leaves and looks like 2 more are coming now. thanks for the help
 
yea add more soil, to abut 2 inches below the first set of leaves, and lower the light, or add more light, or both

Camera is a little messed up the dark tip actually isn't there, thanks for the advice guys hopefully she keeps growing . :)

As long as you are taking care of her needs she will do just fine, when it comes to watering/feeding remember "Less Is More", you want the soil to almost completely dry out between waterings/feedings so the roots dig deep in search of water thus expanding the root zone, the bigger the roots, the bigger the fruits, when you start feeding (in about 2-3weeks) start with 1/4 strength and see how they respond, then gradually increase as needed, if you see nute burn on the leaf tips dial it back a bit. Now if you don't have much experience growing MJ I recommend you get a grow guide, personally I like "Growing Elite Marijuana" by Ryan Riley (-->CLICK HERE<--), however there are many guides to choose from, good luck and keep us posted.
 
how does she looks ? its still stretched thats for sure but its about 6-7 inches tall now extremely skinny compared to others i guess. not one for counting days but id say 2 maybe 2 and a half weeks old. give me some info on what i should be doing :eyesmoke:, negative feedback is ok to.
 
Have been reading up on 12-12 threads because of lack of space and I think it would be perfect for me so I have one that had a very short veg time and is now onto 12-12 and another one that's 12-12 from seed. Just some good bag seed I had, thought I'd try to grow a little something to smoke. Very first grow with 2 2700k cfls in a real small 2x3x2 box. I know more light helps but just trying to get the hang of things before I go out and spend money, I'd be ok with harvesting 5gs or less but nonetheless im going to continue updating this thread every few days. Lets see if I can manage a grow shall we.

Not sure if its too early to tell or if she's showing signs of sex, are these pistils or something else?
 
You're still too early to show sex, and 2700's are more for flowering in case that's what you're trying to do.
If you're vegging, you want the 6500's, they should work better for you.
If it is continuing to stretch, get more lights, and move them closer.
In another week or two, you can start easing into nutes if they look hungry.
Another good thing to do, is if nothing else, get a note tablet, and start writing down when you do things, like age of plant, when you start nutes and how much, in case it's too much or you want to give a larger dose the next time, when first hairs show, when first flowers show, etc.
 
thanks chucky, but im running 12-12 from seed so am i right using 2700k's the whole time? i would think they would start to flower almost right away (or at least show signs) which is what i want and why im using the 2700k's instead of the 6500's.

Ive found a ratio of 2:1 or 3:1 (with emphasis on 6500K for veg & 2700K for flowering) works best, for some reason they like a little mixed spectrum, so I recommend putting a 6500K bulb in there with the 2700K's, as for sex it usually takes around 2 weeks to start showing, males will have little balls (pollen sacks) & females will have little white hairs called pistils protruding at the nodes. Post a better pic because the last one is out of focus.
 
It'll require me to get another Y, then ill have the 3:1. How much of a difference do you notice from a mixed spectrum of light? Size wise or yield.
 
the more blue light (6500k) u have the bushier they will get, and even at 12/12 from seed the plants wont start flowering until they are ready. you get a few weeks of veg growth before you get pre flowers. if they are female, where those little flaps (dont know the technical term) are at the internodes you will see little tear drop shaped growth with white hairs poking out. patience is the key when growing bud. if your impatient you end up over tending them and messing them up. i think most of us did that on our first grow
