Is there any flowering method for photos besides 12/12???
NoIs there any flowering method for photos besides 12/12???
I guess if you could shave 2 hrs of light time a day and still be able to flower like normal, that would save on the utility bill pretty nicely over 60+ days.Auto Flowers can have any light cycle over 12 hours a day. As far as any other light cycle why would you use anything but 12/12. It’s a proven method.
Just wondering...Auto Flowers can have any light cycle over 12 hours a day. As far as any other light cycle why would you use anything but 12/12. It’s a proven method.
On a single light idk, now a 12 light that would be amazingI guess if you could shave 2 hrs of light time a day and still be able to flower like normal, that would save on the utility bill pretty nicely over 60+ days.
Photos... Im pretty dialed in on the autos...Im confused. We talking autos or photos here? @Frank Nitty said "Photos" in his post(s).
I have been using LED's as of lately with the hot weather, but I know that when I was using (2) 1K HPS at 12 cents per KWH the savings would be mentionable over 60+ days. Multiply that x3 crops per year and thats quite a few bones saved over a years time. Im frugal as shit though lol
Nah,i know how autos work with light... And ive got some autos that are going to come up around 65-70 days... Mephisto has strains that are faster than that... They do that on the regular... That's their normal cycle... If you go past that its on you... Like i said before i was just wondering if there was a different way besides 12/12... And how did whoever it was that came to that conclusion figure it out??? I tend to question why when someone says to do something... I don't follow blindly like a lemming... Not saying that anyone else does let's get that clear right now!!!I think you mean autos and no “8” week flower is “8” weeks. As far as I know most autos and 90 to 120 days from seed no matter what light
Hey Red. Yessir,I do flower under 10/14.Photoperiods only.No experience myself, but I believe @CoB_nUt did a 10/14 or something along those lines? He can probably drop some knowledge.
Will any of them make the plant flower faster??? That is the million dollar question!!!Hey Red. Yessir,I do flower under 10/14.Photoperiods only.
I've flowered as low as 9/15. And every combo in between 9/15 & 12/12. Did it for a few reasons and settled on 10/14 at the time. I'm cheap.
No noticeable drop in yeild....or if my yeild did decrease, I didn't care(I didn't keep meticulous notes, was all in the dome).Saves electrical costs which helps when you have a few tents going.
Note* I do not cultivate for commercial purposes.I experiment a lot and tinker around.I try not to speak in absolutes and go off of the experiences in MY garden.
I deleted a lot of my post.
I don't want to "get into it". With anyone. I'll say this. Ganja,or any plant for that matter can only photosynthesize or "eat" so much. Indoors,is much easier to give them their fill or meet their DLI with all the efficient tech out now as well as being a decent gardener. It can be witnessed when during the 8-10th hour it appears your otherwise healthy plant is wilting. Healthy,"full" and sleepy. Give them all the night I can so the roots can do their thing.Always more than 12 hours night night time..for me, my situation and my needs.
Did I mention I'm cheap?
@Frank Nitty to answer your original question...Yes,there are other flowering methods/hours you can use to flower.
12/12 isn't hard-set.Or it shouldn't be IMO. Well if you are growing near the equator or Equatorial varieties...then I guess 12 /12 would be logical or ideal.
@hydro Red thanks for the tag bro.
Lol, exactly why I didn't want to say too much here. You know how RIU can get.So until someone really looks into it,asides from you and a few other people,12/12 is the standard... Wasn't the original question but I think I have the answer though... I would have went on the 12-12 from seed thread with this but who knows what it would have started!!!
