I am in a 2 bedroom apartment and Right now I have my plants under t5 432w(8 bulb) I want to try and keep running this light for my clones and mother. I have a 1000w hps and a grow tent I want to flower in. Would this be to much for my apartment to handle want to keep it safe and not get busted.

Don't sweat it man. You can easily run 2400 in a 2br apt. without attracting attention. Just to be safe, turn down the water heater a few degrees. Don't leave lights on around the house. But, seriously, with 1432 watts you don't need to do anything but stay high.

I've been running a 1000w hps for 12 weeks and i'm good. pay your bills and keep the smell down- don't tell anyone you don't trust with your life. it's sounds easy, 'cuz it is.

i'd have to agree that growing in an apt is dumb. and i was also selling out of my apartment also dumb.

i ended up flowering with a 6 ft plant 400w lighting, no problems.

my apt got robbed at gunpoint but plant was not touched because it was in a locked room..

i would say don't tell anyone. it's tempting i know but believe me, dumb idea.

as far as your electricity, it shouldnt be a problem. just make sure if its in the room you're living in, that you have good ventiliation.. it got hot in my room and remained hot even after my light had been off for 3 hours.. it also doesn't help im in arizona haha

If the landlord is cool with it, then ya nothing wrong.

However, growing pot in a place where they can just come in any time of day, especially when you're out? I couldn't live with the anxiety myself, I came home from work one day to find 4 people in my apartment (I dont rent no more) because my dishwasher was flooding the apt below me.

Renting these days, in the US anyway, you have very little in the way of rights.

Depends where u r..but growing in a apt is prolly BETTER IN SOME CASSES..it would be hard 2 rob an apartment when ur on the 5th floor with only way in and out (besides the fire escape) biut when it comes 2 privacy u cant beat a home..or private land etc..imo..PRIVACY is a bigger issue with apartment grows but it can be done fine wit PRECAUTIONS

im growing in a apartment with a 600w and a t5, vented into the attic which is sealed throughout the building. there are no exhaust vents in any of the apartments for smell to seep down into other apartments. the exhaust will escape through the ventilation on the roof, and i use a carbon filter. just make sure you have renter's insurance in case anything go awry. i'm not too worried about the legality as i'm medical, and i'm not worried about eviction either. just make sure you balance your load on the circuit breakers, took me about 15 minutes to map every plug in the apartment to the corresponding breaker. i split my load between two circuits just to be on the safer side, though when i had everything going at once on one circuit it was fine. i would really like to go all out in the second bedroom, but that's my g/f's scrapbooking room, and she would pitch a bitch no matter that i could rock many 1k's in there. i agree with what fred said, keep your other power consumption to a minimum, it is good practice anyways. switch out to low watt cfl's and keep things youre not using off. though even if your bill was slightly larger than typical it doesnt mean shit. for all anyone could know you could have a bunch of aquariums.

edited to add:
also, about possible fire inspections, put a lock on the door to your grow and keep it locked. your fire alarm should be somewhere in the main hallway anyways, so if they come around for an annual they shouldnt even need to go near your grow.
