a CFL is a Compact (small) Flourscent Light.
you can get 23 and 42 watts with a regular normal socket at Lowes and Home depot for $9.95 or $19.95. Plus you need the Reflector with socket and Clamps. They also have 65 watts, needing a special OUTDOOR Fixture, cause they have a bigger socket. They are $69 with the fixture. You really need a few 65 watts or a couple of 85 watts to just barely get by.
Look for commercial lights, or go to
SH Hydroponics is where I get my lights.

Another question...I bought these lamps with reflectors and it says it can hold up to 150 watts. Does that mean I can only get a cfl with a equivalent of 150 watts or lower?

you might want to tell us what you bought, I hope they are not hallogens.

If you can screw it into the Reflector, it will work OK. I use much much higher equivalants .

Only low heat cause you need more light. He's looking for the wrong kind of lights to begin with.
