cfls wont start a fire.maybe super high wattage cfls...maybe. but i doubt it. i cant see your pics for some reason..but i used to use cfls..i still do for seedlings.. and they never get hot enough to start anything on fire.whats the wattage on the cfls?

Uhhhhh your light is coming right out of the wall socket? What happens when the plant grows...you can't move the light up... Maybe you need to re think your set up.

Hahaha.....that was too good. What are these plants supposed to do in there?

If you have to ask yourself "is this a fire hazard?", it is. If people reassuring you on the internet that it is fine is good enough for you, then so be it, but it won't stop you from worrying about it and it won't stop you from burning your home to the ground.

Thank you for the replies. I'm redoing my grow box so this temp. maybe do 1-3 weeks depending how it works out. You know me waking up to a smoke filled room... The cfls are 3_26watt and 1_13watt. And I think rollitup is acting up...

the only chance of fire would be electrical i'd imagine, and even then the odds are low.

but as stated above, if your worried about it, then you should probably change it around as to unworry yourself.
