is this a good idea?

OK, so I have a small outdoor grow going on at the moment. It has been raining for the last 2 days, and the weather report says there's a 50% chance for rain every day this week.

So, 2 ideas I have. 1) plant a new seed because I have a sprout that refuses to grow. and 2) would now be a good time to clone outdoors?

For the cloning I would take a clipping, dip in some root hormone, and put in moist soil and keep in shaded area. But since it may rain everyday this week I wont have to worry about watering and the clone wont get destroyed by the intense sunlight.

But I have a question. Which branch should I take a clipping from? The plant I plan on cloning has shown female preflowers and has many possible clone offerings. What do you look for in a branch when you want to clone?

Heres the plant I will want to clone

I have always heard to take a branch that has at least three nodes... but I have also seen people take some with no nodes yet. If you have a 3 node branch, i would go with that though.

The clone Idea sounds Like a good plan!
