is this a good lamp to grow weed with? could it work with different flouresant bulb?

yeah its ok. but by the end youll need more light which means more fixtures.. you can get a dual bulb splitter!! to maximize your lumens output

save up 50 more dollars and buy a light thats worth your time

that light is to weak and a waste for the money when for that money u can buy a couple hundred watts of cfls

it's garbage, get a power strip and some mogul sockets and just run cfl's straight off the power strip and hang it over the plants. Or save up some money and spring for a real light.

Don't waste ur time man I'm still a semi newbie but have learned alot. If you can get your hands on some wall/ceiling mount light fixtures like three of em and make a reflector which is real easy then ad a bulb splitter to each fixture you can get 6 26 watt cfls ininside there. Just mount the fixtures to the inside top of your hood wire it up and bam your good! I use this for my mother and clone room then switch everything over to my tent with a 400 hps. Everything has been going great other than a few trial and error mistakes in the begining!
