hahaha, ye ano mate, last week i was trimming them off as they were going yellow, as i inherited sum spider mites a mointh back(i got rid tho), so i figured taking sum leaves off would give the mites less space to get about and also as the leaves were yellowing off i thought it would give more energy to the bud?

A yellowing leaf is not drawing energy from the plant. The plant is drawing from the leaf.

Given the sheer number of strains out there, many of which are hybrids and most of which have overlapping genetics, its next to impossible to determine the "strain" of a plant just by its appearance.
At best someone fairly experienced might be able to put a flowering particular plant into a broad category by educated guess. EG: you've got one of the "Skunk" strains, or one of the "Diesel" ones, or a Ruderalis hybrid, etc.
IMO, worrying about "which one" doesn't matter all that much unless you're trying to breed it, (or to a lesser extent, sell it). If you're simply going to smoke it, just sit back and enjoy it!
