Is this a magnesium deficiency?

This is my 2nd grow and this is my Trainwreck mother plant, I've had her for about 3 months now and have taken 6 clones so far (sold 2, 1 died, 1 outside and 2 cuttings). I just took her out of the pot and added about 3 inches of soil to the bottom of the pot and about a inch around the root ball. But anyways is the issue with the lower leaves dying and the way the others are yellowing, a magnesium deficiency? If not any ideas what it could be, as I said only 2nd grow and at least I tried to self diagnose but would prefer a second opinion to be right.

The pics are before I replanted her (I am keeping her in the 1L pot to keep her as a somewhat bansai mom)

0 Nutes, only FFOF soil with a small layer of hydroton at bottom. But I am thinking that since I replanted I should see a major improvement within the next week, so I'm not too worried. I appreciate the quick responses. Any recommendations on a nute set that is cheap and effective? I am spending some of a CD my aunt gave me for rent on the last of what I need to get started hoping to make enough back to cover it, so I am trying to be as money conscious as possible.

I dont think root bound is an issue here. Looks like your water source may be deficient in Ca and Mg.

The plant is probably in need of food as well.

I use DynaGro products. They are cheap, easy and pH stable. I use: Grow and Protekt for veg and Grow, Bloom and Protekt for flowering. I also use Botanicare's Cal-Mag plus as I have "soft" water in my area and need to supplement ca and mg. I have used a few different "nutes" and I am most satisfied with DynaGro. No gimmicks, just quality products.
