Well don't worry, the staminate flowers will take a good week or so from the time you know it's a male for sure until they actually open to where you can see the bananas inside. I always wait because sometimes you'll have plants that will look like male flowers when theyre just starting pre flowers only to be fems. If its a male it will be night and day diffence and you will know 100% when you see it. Good luck!I believe this is a male. Thier is a bump there between the nodes. just not sure and I don't want to ruin the good one I have. thanks
No. first you'll see the 1 bump become a cluster of bumps like a bunch of grapes. Pistilate flowers are singular. Once you see the cluster it will droop south and open like an umbrella exposing little yellow sacks that are visible. Thats when they start dropping, so as long as you catch them in the clustering stage your absolutley fine! The transformation takes days to weeks, it wont blow on ya overnight as long as keep diligent eyes on em.Ok. will that plant pollinate the good one I have before I can tell it is a male?
No problem man, trying to pay the knowledge forward! Thanks for the help. I will get a better pic posted at 4pm
