Is this a pH problem or heat? (with pic)

My leaves have been curling hardcore for the last three days... and I want to fix this problem quick so she doesn't die on me.

I'm adding fans to my box in just a couple minutes, so that will solve any heat problems.

I just tested the pH from my runoff, and it's reading at 6.8... I've read that that's right about the top of where I want it to be?

Should I flush her with a lower pH water today or just worry about the heat?
 
Your pH is basically perfect man. 6.8 is the touted perfection number I've seen. I'm cool as long as my soil pH is between 6.2 and 7.6 personally. How much water have you been using?
 
With the exception of the last 2 days (today and yesterday) not that much. Maybe 400-500ml every 3 days? I've been trying to knock her ph down so I've used more in the last two days, but not a whole lot more.

Do you think that the leaves curling like that could be overwatering?
 
A combination of high heat and too much water will do that to leaves quickly. It'd be my guess man, what were your temps running?
 
Just too hot... the leaves curl up to prevent transpiration, basically to preserve water inside the plant. You're not watering too much, imo. 500ml every 3 days isn't that much and it doesn't cause those symptoms.

the high heat is enough to shut a plant down completely... eventually it will give up the ghost and just die unless changes are made.
 
Well, I just installed two PC fans, an intake and exhaust and the air is flowing nicely inside the box now.

I'm going to leave my plants out for a little bit, toss the top back on, and see what the temp is running after about 30 minutes.

It was 80 this morning when I got out of bed. Of course that was from the floor as my thermometer fell off the pot in the night so it was probably more like 85 where the plant was.

The fans should cool this down considerably.
 
This is what I've heard. I've just been waiting on some sort of power supply for the fans... Ended up just plugging them into a PC I haven't really been using.
 
I actually set the height of the intake fan to blow right on the tops of my plants.

Do you think this would be fine?

I'd avoid that until the plant bounces back. Its already damaged, wind is going to drain more moisture out of it. On a healthy plant I'd say its fine, that one. . . I'd be careful.

Buy a moisture meter. They're 10 bucks and will ensure you never mess up watering again. I can't say enough good things about moisture meters.
 
So my box is now around 77 degrees after about 30 minutes with the fans on. I put my girl in front of the fan, but I'm going to go move her until she feels a bit better.

I don't think it's so much that it "needs" the wind, so much as that due to the constant breeze it makes the stem stronger, which means it can holds the buds a lot better.

If the lights are close enough they will grow as strong as they need to grow to support the weight anyway. I never use fans for stem strengthening (lol, dunno why that makes me laugh). I used to as a newb though.... but after a while it just becomes unnecessary. In my opinion, of course.

That makes sense.

Either way I've got them installed for air flow mainly, any other benefit is just a bonus.
 
She just woke up from her nap and is looking exactly the same. The temperature has been around 75 the entire time she was in her dark period... Should a 6 hour dark period at that them have given her enough time to relax?
