Is this a red wiggler?

So I went to a local farm that has a stable with a handful of horses, goats, etc...

They have a manure compost pile and let the crazy fucker (me) come and dig through horse shit for an hour!

Anyway, I've found a shit ton of worms and I'm thinking these are red wigglers...

Can anyone confirm?

I found about 150 of them and a good 20 cocoons in about 30 minutes.

That lady musta thought I was a fuckin wingnut... hahahaha

Any chance I can get it actually identified of which kind?

I found them in a compost pile, so I would imagine they are compost worms, but I would love to know exactly what kind.

Interesting... I think of those 4, I got 3 of them that are blue worms and one red wiggler...

The guy doesn't say the name in the video,but he puts it in the comments. 3 of those guys have that distinct tail. Then the last one, looks like a red wiggler based on some other videos.

Probably red wigglers. They usually are near the surface in compost, generally in the 2-4" long range. Earthworms are longer, fatter and found deeper in the ground. If they came out of manure, I'd say they are what you wan. t
