if you look to the outside of the pistols you can see a little growth coming in. it seems bulbus to me
There are no pistils in that photo. Pistils are part of female plants that protrude out of a calyx. What you are probably referring to are stipules and they occur on both male and female plants

I usually see one calyx with 2 hairs coming out at the base of the branch then i am good. I have a plant now that i know is male as there is a lack of calyx and hairs. If you have the room, no need to hurry to chop it down, it would need to mature to make polin and believe me, when its a male in flower you will know for sure.

Maybe the small preflowers on a male could throw some polin if they mature, i'm not sure, maybe some more experienced folks on here could advise on that, but i usually use feminized seeds and dont have any males around, just used my own regular seeds on this current grow.

here is an update
that is exactly what I'm talking about. basically I need to snip him down now?
IMHO you are fretting too much about the gender....give it time to clearly show the gender before chopping it.

It seems so many people are paranoid about having a male and have this compulsion to terminate it before the gender is clearly established

Also remember, a young male won't impregnate your female at this stage....the pollen sacks (balls) need to mature for about a week or two before they start dropping pollen, and by that point it is very obvious that they are males

Wait until you know for 100% sure it's a male before killing the poor thing

I've got 3 more seedlings anyways. I'm going to let it grow to make sure. I'm posting everything I can as a reference point for the future. That way when I, or somebody else needs this type of info, its right here readily available
