Magnus Super Auto. Is this Botrytis on the stem? It was grey coloured this morning and I’ve scraped it off and this is what I’m left with. Will remove the branch if it is. Any help welcome.

It's some sort of mold/stem rot.. I would remove that branch and treat the wound with honey..
It has anti fungal/bacterial properties..
Is the honey working in your opinion? It’s helped it not spread, but is the black layer ok? Any help much appreciated

It looks like the honey is working and killed the mold.. Let's give it a few more days and see how it heals..
I think the black stuff is dead plant material but if it grows It needs to be surgically removed.. Just scrape it off with the edge of a knife.. I think we're ok..

Thank you, I was thinking the same thing about surgically removing the whole rot bit. I will wait as you’ve suggested. The rot is on the main stem, I hope removing a chunk will be ok? Thank you for feeding back to me

I made a thread about that disease you just posted..Nobody had an answer and ive had it on many occasions
