Agreed although I wouldn’t say it’s botrytis.
looks more like a grey mould usually from longer storage with improper care.

Yep good ol' dispo weed.... I know guys that grow for black market dispo. Let me tell you that weed is the worst. Generally some rich Asians own the site and hire a couple guys who 'know what they're doing' and they dont wanna dish out the funds for doing it right. They just wanna get as much weed as they can as cheap as they can and sell it for as much as they can. They spray pesticides,don't care about mold and def don't care about what you're smoking. Now, this isn't to say about all of it but this is what generally is going on.

Can I butt in? I was under the impression botrytis and grey mold were the same thing. Are there different types of grey mold? Thanks from a noob who is now scared of another type of mold!

Maybe I’ve got the mould wrong.
there are 2 types I’ve seen.
1 botrytis that infects from the inside out and causing mushy buds
2 the other is what I classify as a stagnant air mould usually caused by inadequate air movement and usually infects the outside of the bud causing web like appearance.
It could very well be botrytis still as I’m not sure.
I’ve had it before when drying and I had very little air movement and it started on the outside of a bud.

Not going to lie I’m pretty livid now with gov. Dispensaries.
My lady is quite sensitive (hypoallergenic and diabetic T1) and she’s been smoking this too. She’s been feeling sick since I picked it up 4 days ago..
Whole Oz is going in the garbage after I tell them they sold me grey mold and it made her sick. Fuuuck.. great reminder on why we grow our own.
I’m just about to flower my 2 girls after a month’s battle with WPM, I’m hoping these spores don’t come back to haunt me and my crop!

That's pretty damn bad for a dispensary to be selling moldy weed.
I'd take it back to where you got it, dump it out on the counter, show them the mold, and demand your money back for that moldy garbage. I wouldn't leave until they did. If they call the cops let them. All they can do is make you leave the premises. The worst that could happen is you could be banned from that dispensary but you might make enough noise to get on the news which would not be good for their business once people find out they're selling moldy weed.
Not sure where you are but I would take it back

Correct me if I'm wrong but grey mold, botrytis pm and others all come from the same spore, it's just where that spore lands and the environment it's in that makes it whatever. The mycelium is the same

There are different species of botrytis but they are from the same family.
"Botrytis blight or gray mold is a fungus disease which infects a wide array of herbaceous annual and perennial plants. There are several species of the fungus Botrytis which can cause blights; the most common is Botrytis cinerea."

Just got back.
Honestly went much better than I expected. I brought the bag in and showed the manager right away explaining the situation.
They immediately refunded me without question, and are going to deal with it themselves with the LP.
Damn. What an experience. Stickin with the homegrown from now on!

When I found little black bugs in mine they were straight cunts here in Canada. I literally put the jar on the counter (uh, sir you can't have that in here). Went through their bullshit calling in everyone with authority. No receipt, no return! Told me to call the LP! Yelled in their store, some profanity, and off I went. Pretty bad experience, and was really pissed off. I didn't bother calling the LP (TGOD) as it confirmed my suspicions of this "legal market" it's all bullshit! I only smoke homegrown now thoroughly inspected by me, and from reputable growers alike. Thank fuck I'm a perfectionist so I don't mind going over buds and grows tooth and comb. Makes me wanna help & grow for others the sick an twisted shit legal markets have done. I've never seen such a beautiful plant treated with such respect over the years ripped apart limb by limb by this industry! Standards were set to the utmost of quality and consistency back in the day. Although these LP offer things we homegrown simply can not in some ways, I will forever hold a mutiny against this new market! Everything is going back to the people, for the people haha
