Is this GG4 - first time grow

Or, you could try to get a cutting? GG4 is everywhere now. Just takes a little a leg work.
I'm on a rock in the Atlantic.. Newfoundland, Canada. I've asked about in some local FB groups and nothing from that. If it turns out better that would be amazing, I'll keep all my fingers crossed LOL. But yeah I think that's my next move see if I can get a cutting. Might take some magic to get it out my way with all this covid stuff so I'll see what this plant does before I got that route.

So I'm getting some leaf twist, hard to notice on a bigger pic, but can see it naked eye on many leaves. I'm seeing some red/purple coloring in the stems. I think @saint0192 was right to say a bit early to judge. 5 weeks in some phenos starting to show. This thing is a bush though. Got my light set at 30 inches above canopy top and it still doesn't want to grow tall.

The one next to it too where the outer leafs grow over and shade the center leaf....that’s a gorilla, I think they look like a cobra head.

GG4 is the only strain I can recognize right off the bat. In veg they will have purple or red leaf stems ( fade in flower back to green) and some leafs will twist and crinkle causing people that don’t know to over nite or water, thinking it’s a deficiency.

Thanks for the input. The thing is really bushy, I trim and 24 hours later can't see through it. Only been 37 days since the cotyledons came out but it's a heck of a plant. First time growing in hydro and a long time since did any plants at all. Patience I know :weed:

That’s Gorrilla, needs trading or it will get big. I veg to 24” tall then flower for at least 70 days from shooting hairs. Be patient it bulks up late. It will seem like it’s stalled but let it go it’s gaining bud weight and if you take early it’s very “chem sister like”. The later harvest will bring out the chocolate diesel. Molcha Tate with a blackberry back and a hint of skunk. Is it stinking like cat piss, skunk and Diesel yet?

Looking good! I didn't know about the leaf twist for GG - Interesting - it's one of the strains I'm considering next time I start from seed!

Also - I'm fighting with a Critical plant to tease out more growing tips for clones, and later on, buds, and it took about twice as long as my Jack Herer plants, for the same reason you're fighting - it really wanted to keep the compact bushy growth. I finally have it up to 12 tips. I managed this by trimming out all the undergrowth, leaves and limbs, leaving only the canopy, and then using 14 gauge wires gorilla taped down to the top of the DWC buckets to pull the branches outward. I didn't trim everything at once, doing it over several days to let the plant recover from each session. Once I got the branches splayed out a little, I started trimming any leaves that threatened to shade the growing tips. It is now almost 2 feet across with 12 beautiful growing tips.

I strip the bottom 1/3 of the GG of foliage and you will need to pinch and point the mains where you want them to grow. Great plant for SOG/SCROG, brings up yields and you need to train it early or it’s a wild beast.

I have done some training to it. Really staying low and bushy so hard to get it to take a shape and spread out some but it's getting there and I have been training it just hard to tell from latest pic. I'll give it a month yet before I flip, I've got lots of height as I'm in a closet. It's got a diesel smell to it starting to get pretty strong actually which is a surprise for me as never had a plant smell so strong this early in.

Sativa showed its head when it stretched in flower.

I'm only at 10-11 inches at the highest but am training for scrog, I'll slip a net in before flowering stretch I think. The stems are pretty thick right now, I think they have lots of strength.

2 weeks into flower. This thing is a beast. Only been a total of 6 weeks from sprouting to flipping to flower. Supposed to have 9 or 10 week veg time.
I'm wondering if the 5 gallon bucket can support a big enough root mass for the amount of cola I have going on here? Hard to tell him the pic, but the plant is pretty trimmed up. The closet is 3.5 x 3.5 feet and it's tricky to get at the back. It won't stop growing though. First time every doing hydro and a long time since growing actually. Amazed. I don't think it will need 9-10 weeks of flower, but who knows how long for it to ripen.

They stretched a fair bit, the sugar leaves are getting nice trichs on them. Good development for week 4.
