is this going to die ?

its looking a little worse than last night and most thoughts were it was heat related but the lights have been of all night and i have only turned one back on to 400w so im kinda worried its something else :/

Your plant looks like its suffered mild stress from heat. It should be fine so long as you control the heat and humidity.

I'm somewhat medicated right now, but I think you should be fine regardless; just make sure your little baby stays cool.

lol im not medicated yet hence why im worrying quite a bit , im not sure where to take my temps from i bought a wireless temp monitor so i can constantly check on it due to my first time paranoia

i currently have the sensor under the lip of the flogro so its not getting struck with light and heat from the lights , i think an ambient temp is better or should i measure around the leaves ?

Looks like heat-stress to me. I have a thermometer on the top of my tent and near the top canopy.

Put the sensor right beside one of the curled up leaves and see what it is at the canopy. Ambient temps can fool you. The plant is also seeing the radiant heat produced by the bulb.

yeh i turned off one of the lights and turned the other down to 400w , i checked my nutrients as i couldntt get the truncheon till today and i was at 2ec i drained out most of the tank and added more ph water to bring it town to around 1.2ec as i read that normal strength could have been too strong for the plant and caused this too?

naw this was caused by heat stress. theres no way that plant is using 400w of energy so make sure it isn't too close. get a thermometer and place it level with the top of the plant. check it often. have a fan blowing around the plant to help cool it down and increase the strength of its branches. good to go.

cheers man , the lights are still at the top of the grow tent just now so cant get them any higher , they are about 1.5m above

will get some more temp monitors to measure around the leaves , floor level is around 23 /34 degrees now , did hit 29 yesterday before i pulled the other light

ok some of those curled leaves feel really brittle , like i they would crumble if i squeezed them , should i trim them off or leave them and see if they recover ?

The leaves wont recover my friend but your new growth looks as good as gold. Leave the leaves on as they will still do what it says on the tin. Give em some superthrive for stress, might take a week or so to get going again though if you stressed em big. just keep an eye on temps and you will be sweet.
