Is this grow doomed?

thank you viper, i did not know about how watering would effect the nutrients in the MG soil

if i re-roll this whole situation with the correct light setup for now... is there any way i could tell some information about th seeds beforehand? I know there's a handful in my jar-o-seeds that actually cam from good bags of wed but unfortunately everything has gotten mixed together over time... maybe i'd start out with 4-6 and make a quick decision on the strongest ones to bring it down to 3?

just go with em and do every experiment you can with these seedlings while you have them but get your next seeds goin and phase out crappy plants for new ones, thats my advice, I am not an expert at all but I've taken stragglers and put em outside only to recieve a nice surprise around harvest time, outside is easier to leave alone imo and sometimes thats cool, then you have outdoor experience and you can veg under your new t5s and flower with natural light(move them into dark or cover them for 12 solid hrs a night) again this is my non expert minimal experience talking but this stuff works for me, I am now starting soiless/ hydroish growing and miss the days of dirt and sun, so much work done for you for by mother nature while u get the room going

Do six new seeds...
Clear cups inside red ones...
Put as much light as you can afford on your grow...
Growing pot is fun...
Enjoy your plants...
Learn...
I hear what all the "Throw them out they are too small" crowd says above...
Personally, I wouldn't throw them all out... You can have a veg MJ plant under terrible conditions meekly grow, slow...
Or it could just have bad genetics and grow slow and crappy....Save and grow with your new seedlings...at least one of your Gen1 plant...
Give one or two of them, a second chance...

highfire and sand thanks for both those posts.. for now i am going to keep rolling out this miserable setup and follow highfire's advice and play around with them.. it's still too cold in PA to put them outside - my basement is undoubtably too cold but i can't imagine they'd survive outside... i did notice just now that one of the plants is actually starting to sprout its next set of leaves so maybe that's one i can keep going

you guys have provided some really excellent posts for me in this thread and i apprechiate it greatly... if some of you wouldn't mind would you swing over to this thread and tll me your thoughts?
https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/630442-rate-my-hypothetical-setup.html

i've been slowly working on projects in the house this year and the basement is close to being finished which means wifey and i can work on the upstairs which shouldn't be too bad if we're motivated... and next up is my mess of a garage, i've been planning to clean it out and set up a gym for doing p90x out there since i'm slowly morphing to a pile of shit lol... and what i wrote about in this thread certainly would fit with my garage renovation... so i'm really interested to hear more opinions and if all goes well maybe once i get that done i can build this and start a PROPER grow....

And plant just enough seeds that you have a single CFL to go over each plant closely. 13-watt to 23-watt CFL in 6500K is more than enough. Cheap action.

Ok.. took this group of 20 and found a new home in my house... they are now moved to a closet on my upstairs floor, the natural temp up there will be warmer than the basement, and it's a waaaay smaller area so if there's a chance those bulbs will actually keep an area warm, this is the smallest enclosed space in the house. I'd like to point out that the 7 plants on the outskirts are all pretty much junk, they've all sprouted only two round leaves and nothing more... but i guess i've just kept them around for the sake of experimentation as opposed to just tossing them in the trash (as long as i'm keeping the healthier ones as close to the bulbs as they are.. these ones on the outskirts shouldn't hurt anything right?) Also i know they're still all in clear cups... i stopped somewhere today and couldnt find any, i'll get it switched soon i promise.

If you take a look at the plant in the center i think it shows some real promise, the whole crop is way behind and overall unhealthy looking but this one plant actually looks like... a cannabis plant lol. They are arranged so that the best looking ones are in the middle, that decent looking plant has 4 more around it that are showing some signs of the second set of leaves sprouting, and the 8 others are ones that at least sprouted both types of leaves in the first set.

Harley, you mentioned 1x 13-23 watt CFL per plant, if i see some growth and potential in more than 2 of them in the next few days i'll take your advice but i have one concern...
the two bulbs shown in this picture are 32 watts each... are they too close? only about 1-1.5" above those plants showing promise, i'd hate to damage them
