Is this Indica or Sativa?

I have my random bagseed growing and I'm wondering if anyone could tell me their thoughts on the strain dominance; either indica or sativa? The plant is about 18 inches tall right now. It shot up from about 14 inches to 18 after I switched to flowering. Is there a sure fire way to tell by the leaves? I'm hoping it's sativa dominant because I love the cerebral effects and mood elevation Thanks

Your plant is likely sativa dominant (long thin leaf fingers). But be aware...that does not necessarily mean the high will be sativa like. Depends on strain, genetics and lineage, and pheno-type (if any). I have 2 gurlz going now that are both Sativa dominant...they are growing in like fat leaved indicas. As far as the high I will get...I am also hoping for the sativa dominance.

You are so much better off getting good genetics from a reputable breeder. Whether regular seeds or feminized there are literally 1,000 strains available. Lots of web sites to research strain info....let me get you started...http://en.seedfinder.eu/

Deffs a Hybrid

At least 75-80% sativa. With most indicas the "fingers" on the fan leaves will overlap each other about where a knuckle would be on a hand.

Can be tricky with all the hybrids available and pheno variances within strains, but I agree that this one looks mostly sativa.

That's good to know. So if they're overlapped and rounded it should be indica dominant, and thin and spread out should most likely be sativa Dom. Thanks Steve

I appreciate your guys' opinions and reassurance that mmy girl will most likely be sativa dom. I'm loving how bushy she's getting 24 days into flowering. The leaves seem to get longer and thinner the old it gets. Thanks again

Sativa are your long skinny fingered leaves ...indicas are much wider/rounded leafs and fingers ....those are sativa dom for sure

Your photo suggests the sativa side. Hybrids can go either way. I have some Green Crack that has super skinny leaves and that's about right as it's supposed to be "mostly Sativa." I can only guess that the breeder has it right. Gimme a few months and I'll tell you whether I am writing a song or on the couch watching TV.
