help if you can plz ,
i lowered my lights last night and think i created a hotspot , pics below , if you think this is something different as i still feel light was far enough away (600w hps parabolic(umbrella hood 1ft away, now back at 1.5ft) then please say so , thanks in advance

p.s the strain is BB's G-Bomb and has had minimum nutes and fed only once at half measure , its only in that 1 patch on an otherwise healthy plant ,,.....

looks like there's water on ur leaves do you spray ur leaves with water with the lights on??


how olds ur plant you said u only fed her once that can also be the problem if its over a month old you should feed once a week maybe twice so it can also be a nute def

That's what it looks like to me. If not, the next thing I would look at is a damaged rootzone.

No , i spray when lights go off , that was at 9am this morn , start of dark time , i dont feed at all during vegg , and as little as poss during flower at half strength , im a big organic fan , none of the other plants showing any of this , and only in 1 spot on this plant , it vegged 4 weeks and is on day 16 of 12/12 ....

sorry it looks like heat burn ???? , damaged rootzone , how would i know ? a transplant maybe ? at day 16 of 12/12 ? any ideas ? help welcomed ??

plus it wasnt there yesterday ...... would that happen overnight ?

take more pics but wait for lights on its not good to take pics of ur plant whens its supose to be in dark period

feed ur plant more if you only fed it once then it deffinitely needs nutrients since its over a month old most soils only have enough nutrients to last a month

and i went through a whole grow harvest without once spraying my leaves with water if you water the soil they dont need watered leaves that just stops roots from drinking and searching for more water

It definitely looks like heat burn to me. The top of one my plants was about 4 inches from my 400w HPS and it burned a bit like that.

And don't spray your plants if they're flowering. They don't require any more foliar feeding at this stage and any extra moisture could promote molding. Just feed the root system.

been growing 5 years , i did state it was just before lights out ...i know ppl who grow start to finish with no nutes and no issues , and i know burn can happen overnight , but they stated rootzone damage , i meant that ....

Yes, like heat burn (from lights). Damaged root zone can happen from a variety of things; mechanical, microbiol, chemical. Yes it can happen overnight. Go with the heat burn from the lights as the simplest explanation.

btw, I wouldn't spray at night. Better to spray in the morning at or near lights on. The plants metabolic processes are active taking advantage of the foliar feeding. The heat from the lights also helps evaporate the humidity so no problems with mold later.

Hey thanks for your help , ok , i only spray when lights off in first 21 days of flowering , then i dont spray at all for the last 4 weeks, as i know this can promote mold, but during the first 3 weeks they like a cool down after lights off , i have always done this , spraying when lights are on is never good tho , this can cause heat damage from the glare of the bulb, i have since worked out what the problem was, and i feel stupid i can tell ya , my thermostat heater has been hanging from a cable tie on a metal hook , i do this to minimise noise and vibrations, i had it aimed away from the plants , but as the fan has been kicking in , the force has been moving it to a different direction, ie straight at the g bomb plant , hence causing the burns ...doooooooooooh!! dont worry i slapped the back of my own head , thank for your help tho , and i agree a number of things could have been guilty for causing this .......

It's especially bad during flowering, where it can introduce bud rot, moreso when the buds are dense.


Your problem does look like a burn, but it's strange, because I used to use the same exact setup as you, at the same distances, without problems, and my temps were in the upper 80's. Is the burnt spot in the area closest to the bulb? If not, that's not your problem.

I don't know about light stress but I think you have a phosphorus deficiency. Try flushing with ph balanced water & maintain a steady ph of about 6.5 tops. Research phosphorus deficiencies and compare your situation..
