is this lack of nitrogen?

well i have looked through the net for answers to my question, everything i see leads to N defficiancy, was just after some help from you guys sort of a second opinion, and the ph might be a little high, it sits just above seven

barneys farm lsd
250w hps
canna soil
bio bizz grow and bloom nutes

i have noticed that the bio bizz npk numbers are alot smaller than other plant food, im guessing thats because its organic?

thanks in advance

You should try to get your PH closer to 6.5 and it needs nitrogen. How far along in flower are they? They can start using up nitrogen stored in the fan leaves during flowering.

they are about 3-4 weeks into flower, gave thema good flush with water ph'd to about 6.5 maybe a small bit under, hopefully that does the trick, i currently add a small dose of the veg nutes with the bloom nutes, do you think i should still be doing this so the plant can get the nitrogen that it needs?

thanks to all, i will + rep you's

Yes, I usually continue veg nutes with flowering supplements the first 2 weeks of flowering so they do not run out of nitrogen.

I've got a couple of my bigger, faster growing plants doing some of that. Looks just like your pics. My experience/reading tells me the plant is needing some more nitrogen and I just dosed my plants that are showing some of this with some Alaskan Fish Fertilizer (5-1-1).

This won't do any thing for the leaves that have already started to yellow out and make them green back up. My experience is that they're just going to finish yellowing out, wilt and drop off the plant. But it will keep it from spreading up thru the plant and having more of the leaves become similarly effected.

I'd give a real good flush (leech) first then wait a few days to see if the chlorosis is still consistent. Those symptoms can be due to a few different problems and if it is a lockout as mentioned above it might be, your gonna take a chance on burning your plants giving it that extra N. Its silly how many times that happens when just a simple PH (water PH and/or soil or growing medium PH as well) problem or something small like that..

Just cause you hear hoof beats, dont assume zebras ;)

yeah i have already flushed the plant, i will wait and see if it gets any better before i add the nutes, the only thing is i dont have battries for my ph meter so i have to use this one with a dial and two prongs, not very acurate but better than nothing

thanks +rep

Hey Jimmy,

I think ol' Jeffdogg is making some really good points in that post. Maybe a good flush and a couple days "wait and see" might be a better plan. I'm not 100% sure that it might not be something else besides an N deficency. When some of this first started showing up on some of my plants it seemed that it always happened in the day or two after a watering. This could just as well be from an excess of nutes or a "lock out" as Jeffdogg has mentioned.

Besides a Nitrogen deficency I've been attributing some of mine to the possibility that for a day or two after watering the soil just may have been a little to wet for the roots to breath good. That and the fact that I've got my plants pretty close together and not much light is getting down to those lower leaves.

I've already dosed my plants with some AFF (5-1-1) yesterday (@ 1 tsp/gallon) so it's a little late for me to take the flush, wait and see approach.

I don't have a ph soil meter I trust so I'm in the dark there. I do how ever know from using an aquarium ph test kit that the rain water I collect and use has a ph of 6.8. Yesterday I watered another plant (that's not having any of this yellowing) with this straight rain water and the run off from the pot tested 7.0 ph.

i HAVE NO iDEA WHAT YOU GUYS ARE TALKiNG ABOUT..NUTES/FLUSH/ETC.. (BUT) i HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY ONE MONTH OLD PLANTS I HAVE.. THEY LOOK LIKE YOURS BUT NOT AS YELLOW.. THEY ARE JUST NOT AS GREEN AS THEY USED TO BE .. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO??.. IF YOU COULD GIVE ME DIRECTIONS WITHOUT ALL THE (WEED) LANGUAGE THAT WOULD BE GREAT. LAMENS TERMS PLEASE. THANX!!

Flushing is when you a lot of PH'd water and you pour it through the plants soil. Doing that washes out salts that build up and other things that can harm your plant. The amount of water is usually 3 times the size of the pot (at least thats whats in most videos and what not) so if you have a plant in a 1 gallon pot you will "flush" it with 3 gallons of water at the proper PH. Get it? :D
